Anyone who is against it is either ignorant or has never had a serious illness/injury and is planning on never having one.
I'm 20 years old and suffer from Crohn's disease, which has lead to frequent medical bills.
My parents are pretty wealthy, we live in a 900k home and own a few others that range in price from 120k-200k that we rent out. All are paid off and my family cares 0 debt(No mortgage or credit card debit etc...) and we still find it hard to pay my medical bills. Hell my medicine alone is $900 every 3 months. Last year I was realitivly healthy, so I didn't have any extensive medical ordeals, but my total last year was over $2k(Medicine, blood tests, visits, colonscopies). This year, I'm already at 3k and just got a bill today for $1,800 for a stay due to kidney stones(Caused by Crohn's). In two weeks, I'm having major surgery that is should cost a lot. The only plus is, after this surgery, anything later this year will be 100% covered if needed(besides medicine).
Now I ask you, how the **** am I suppose to afford all this if I was on my own? All these numbers are what we had to pay out of pocket with GOOD insurance. When I'm forced to get my own plan, I'm not going to have good insurance, so these numbers are going to be higher. The whole being covered under your parents plan and maybe public health care, would be a god send for people like me.

Sorry, but you are not entitled to anything. This country is broke and the last thing we need is to socialize healthcare and hurt the middle class more.
Get a job that has good heath benefits. I didn't have health benefits for years but I didn't expect others to pay for my bills when I was sick with strep etc...
Work for your benefits, don't demand it from others that work hard for their money and benefits.

Are you're a moron, or did you fail some schooling? Herp derp, my parents have amazing insurance, and I said they pay atleast 4k a month in bills for me out of pocket, not counting my $900 every three months for medicine. Thats 6-7k a year I have to fork out, on a good year. No 20 year old has 7k extra to throw around.

I love it when retarded republi***s assume that democrats are the only ones who impose taxes. If you are a republican, that's fine. I respect a lot of republican/conservative views. But if you are a republican solely because "people should work moar/Obama is taxing too much" then you are everything that is wrong with this world and I hate you. Please, kill yourself.

I agree OP. Look at Nordic countries, they live in a 100000000000x better society then America, and this is one of the reasons. Inb4 I get negs from some blind patriots that can't accept the truth.

Obama care won't necessarily change your problem. What you want is free state run healthcare. What Obama put out there is insurance reform with welfare programs to help people in poverty afford it.
Also, young healthy people are going to get ****ed. Is that fair for them, is it fair that they have to offset the cost for you? We need to find ways to bring down the cost of healthcare, not a way to spread the cost around. Just my opinionSC: BKing1024

What makes you think you have a right to my (or anyone else's) income? Healthcare costs money. I don't demand you pay for my stuff, so fcuk off. Besides, if government increases access and decreases healthcare payments.. where are the new doctors going to come from? ObamaCare will inevatibly lead to rationing. YOU are the ignorant one if you don't understand this simple economic reality.

IF we didn't already havea such a mess of a medical system, I'm sure we would've seen a lot of private charities help a lot more people who truly can't afford it.
surely, gov't run health care will drive down costs. along with everything else the gov't controls the prices decrease.
/sarcasm
It's not even economics anymore, it's impossible getting out of this debt.
Brb conservatives (which are almost 90% straight up retards) want to spend more for war then education. Wtf is that?
