There was a pad on the bar. One of my training partners was doing them so I just jumped in with him.

the Zerchers are great for the core and when I tried them I liked the balance with the weight way out front like that....but...they destroyed my forearms, lol. I seriously wimped out, man I had pads, towels, everything I could think of but it still killed, lol. And I was only doing 275

I wonder if this thing is any good? http://www.zercherharness.com/Featur...FY125QodFhQwiw

Likewise. Think I've only ever done 275 for a double, felt **** popping in my forearms and decided that was probably enough for the day. Was tender for a good week or so after that - although probably doesn't/didn't help I do my weighted situps with a zercher 'grip' as well.

We have one of these at my gym. I have never used it but when some of the others used it they thought it was pretty good.
