"Vegeta, what does the new Flex article say about Phil Heath's daily calorie intake?"

    "Its over 9000!"

    "What, 9000?"

How is everyone acting like this is impossible to do? Do you guys even eat?

When I bulk I'm on 4000cals of CLEAN food. And I weigh like 75lbs less than him. I dirty blk anywhere from 5000-6000 and have gone upwards of 8000/day on really high days and heavy cheats........ even though my protein never goes over 350gm.

    try this.....
    1. fruits are the easiest carb additives to any meal. I have eaten like 15 servings + a day.

    2. peanut butter is the easiest high fat food ever

    3. drinking calories saves stomach room (try 16oz orange juice with 5 tbs flax or evoo for a no-protein calorie dense shake)

    4. white rice, oats, potato nomnomnomnom

    5. 4:1 ratio carb/protein post workout shake.... But with 50-75 gm protein.... yes that means 200+gm carbs in your post workout shake... dont be a pu$$y.

Its NOT HARD to believe..he probably has a very high metabolism. I need around 4000 calories to grow..any less than 3500 cals and i will actually lose weight. But im only 180 pounds. Phil is basically 100 pounds more than me so why would it be hard to believe he eats a bit more than twice as much as me? I think people who dont believe it need to start eating more...

    Mine is a 40/150 split.

I can see someone much larger getting in this many calories EASILY.

Also, does anyone know if bodybuilders can use food off as a tax-write off? Always wondered.

I'M HAVING FUN DRINKING WINE RIGHT N0W AND LAUGHING AT THE RETARDS WH0 BELIEVE HE EATS THAT MUCH. 2 YEARS AG0 PHIL WAS EATING 5000 CAL0RIES A DAY 0FF SEAS0N AND HE PUT 0N AB0UT 20 LBS AND Y0U GUYS THINK THAT MEANS HE NEEDS T0 INCREASE HIS CAL0RIES BY AN0THER 5,000?

    http://www.muscleandfitness.com/nutr...healthy-eating

PhilÂ’s total calorie consumption will sometimes border on 5,000. Throw a gallon or two of water into the mix and youÂ’ve got the 24-hour cocktail that fuels a 5'9", 240-pound off-season physique that seems to have been hardwired at birth to build award-winning muscles.

    GARBAGE REMOVAL

“I could eat garbage during the off-season and probably get away with it,” Phil says. “But bodybuilding is my job, and I take it seriously. It’s not that difficult for me to eat clean year-round, and I feel better when I eat well and look better, too. So there’s no reason for me not to stick to a healthful diet, even when I’m trying to add muscle mass.”

An off-season bulking-up diet absent of stomach distension, gastric cramps and the urge to lie on the kitchen floor, semiconscious and curled into a fetal position? It just might be the next wave in bodybuilding nutrition. With good health, a high energy level and bodybuilding trophies lining his mantel, Phil Heath is the poster child for a sensible system of off-season mass-gaining that will leave you big, hard and with all of your senses intact. M&F

    A DAY IN THE LIFE

Phil HeathÂ’s off-season diet is all about adding tons of muscle while staying lean. HereÂ’s what PhilÂ’s typical day of eating might include:

    Meal Time Contents
    1 8:00 a.m. 6 egg whites, 1 cup Cream of Wheat, 8 oz. water
2 11:00 a.m. 8 oz. top round steak, 2 cups white rice, broccoli
    3 1:00 p.m. 8 oz. chicken breast, 2 cups brown rice, asparagus
    4 4:00 p.m. 60 g protein/150 g carbohydrate shake
5 7:00 p.m. 8 oz. top round steak, 11⁄2 cups white rice, spinach
    6 10:00 p.m. 8 oz. tilapia fish, broccoli

And, what, another 50k a year in sports technology, according to some people who seem to know it all? And all that on top of living expenses, etc?

You'd pretty much need to win the Mr Olympia every year just to make ends meet.

I think Phil will stay tight lipped on this one. If Phil comes in and says the opposite of what his sponsoring mag says he could be in a lot of trouble.
    A pattern in the chaos.

    exactly

He's probably laughing at the article just as hard as we are but FLEX is paying him to go along with it...

This. I don't think Phils going to come into this thread. If he tries to confirm 9000, he'll get a bunch of angry skeptics. If he says its BS, he'll come under fire for lying in a magazine.

    LOL this.

I believe Phil can easily eat 9000 cals + and probably has on occasion. But if the article is implying he eats that most of the time for months at a time, than that's probably not true.

edit; art i agree. phil could easily put down 9k calories...to be honest that isnt much....especially after dieting and craving the hell out of some food. but as far as his daily average, dont think so.
