If women are equal in the military...then why do they have MUCH LOWER physical standards in Basic Traning and throughout their career?
If they want equality, they should pass the same tests.

Maybe... but I think you have to argue that then. I think comparing all the things men have accomplished to what women have accomplished is a poor argument because man's role was to build, think, and invent things. Woman's role was to raise kids, clean, etc.
Arguing that men were the dominant species in the majority of civilizations in the past because they were legitimately dominant over females is a different argument."Adversity reveals genius, prosperity conceals it."
Think about what you want in life. Then ask yourself what you're doing to achieve it.

-Can't be emotionally aloof as men. Neuroendocrinology/10, every exception you see is exception to the general rule. Men have more time to waste/ be productive than obsessing about minuscule stuff.
-Aren't designed to think visuo-spatially. Proof: the functional part of the brain is underdeveloped than men. So no bridges, dams, architectural marvels, and related innovations. Again, some defy this fact, but they're freaks going against their nature...unless they work hard to exceed their levels, if majority did, we'd know about it so it's safe to assume they don't have the aptitude.
- Physical strength. Lettuce be reality, we're arguing about in general, not seasoned female bodybuilders vs regular joes which will be pretty unfair.

Have you all forgotten the chair test? Have a low set chair against the wall, stand over it so that your chest is lower than your hips, your head against the wall. Try to stand up with the chair. Most men can't, most women can quite easily because of the difference in center of gravity. I'm sure there are some men with extraordinary back control or large butts who can, but your average woman will pass this test much easier than your average man.
When I was teaching, the reports from female students were more proficiently written on average than the mens ... but often, it would be correct technically and still not say anything interesting, whereas the men's papers would be loaded with bad spelling, egregious vocabulary errors, but be fun to read. Made grading criteria difficult. How can you grade something that has so many errors that is actually insightful against something that has no errors but is dull? Have to make a choice.
I do feel like the misogyny is a little out of control. My mom runs the finances, works hard, cooks, cleans, has a great job, is responsible, put me through college, and my dad was just kind of, you know, stronger than her and nice sometimes. She worked hard every day of her life, and if I had to ask for financial advice or just advice on a medical issue I would certainly label her competence as far exceeding that of my father, who would be good for car or maintenance advice, or facts about tv and entertainment and sports.
Anne Wolfe does beat up your average man, but loses to an elite smaller man in a fighting sport.

Also I will say that female pain tolerance is higher than men's as a rule.
It's funny to see guys list all this stuff like it's about physical toughness and not physical prowess and yet the average male is laid low by a stomachache or a head cold.“I don’t like work - no man does - but I like what is in the work - the chance to find yourself. Your own reality - for yourself, not for others - what no other man can ever know. They can only see the mere shows, and never can tell what it really means.” - Joseph Conrad

04-15-2011, 12:31 PM #117Jeffrey Mogil, Ph.D., is professor of pain studies at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He explains that while not all studies have found sex differences, those which have all point in the same direction that contradicts conventional wisdom. "Females are more sensitive to pain, less tolerant and more able to discriminate different levels of pain than males," he says. This is true in studies of both humans and animals.Pregnancy actually is the exception to the rule. While pregnant, women do become progressively less sensitive to pain as they get closer to giving birth. Natural painkillers like endorphins are elevated during pregnancy and labor, helping fight pain.
