I was merging on to this highway
on my bike (cbr1000)
was in 2nd gear for the turn then redlined 2nd and got into 3rd for a bit then let off and matched traffic speed
apparently a cop saw me, because a mile or so later hes right behind me with lights on and sirens on..
im like ****..
I pull over to the right, he comes up and says "why are u going so fast?" Im like, well its a highway on ramp i was just accellerating. Hes like "to 116?" (I think he just made up this number because i dont see how he could have got radar on me, i did hit atleast 116 though prob 130 or so in 3rd. Ive done 165+ indicated on it). I was just like, " 2nd gear, its hard to resist.. sorry." He asks if i have my endorsement and asks for license, he takes it for a min and checks everything i guess, comes back and says slow down stop being stupid and lets me off.

I got radar-ed at 113 mph in a rental Chrysler 300 by Rachel Nevada 5 years ago.
The cop gave me a road-side sobriety test (at 10:00am), yelled at me for 5 minutes, wrote me a $565 ticket, and then let me go.
No demerits, US violations don't show up on a Canadian drivers license.------♥♥-----

I started with a gs500, then got a yzf600r and now this cbr. Starting small is a good idea. Never crashed any of them (knock on wood). This cbr is as fast accelerating as anything except newer literbikes, which are only slightly faster. Honestly i feel like i can beat anything 60-160 mph except mabe 1k+ hp cars and 2011 s1000rr/zx10r.

I think he let me off because i dont see how he could have actually had radar, combined with me actually pulling over properly and saying sorry. And the fact that it was a highway on ramp and i had slowed down to traffics speed and was driving normally by the time he caught up. (basically its the safest area possible to speed.) I literally went from 60-130 in about 6 seconds then let off and engine braked down to traffic speed

well atleast he let you off.
I had something similar happen to me a couple years ago but my cop was a complete douchebag.
I merge onto the highway on my bike doing the speed limit, and get caged in by two transport trucks. So I downshift and pass them and then return to the speed limit. About two seconds later some biker cop pulls me over, pulls up beside me and yells:
"WHATS YOUR STORY"
"what?"
"WHAT IS YOUR STORY"
"umm, are you talking about when I passed the two trucks that had me blocked in?"
"BULLSH!T I SAW YOU FLYING SINCE THE OFF RAMP!"
"No sir, I only sped up to get some space when I got..."
"HOW ABOUT YOU KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT, UNLESS YOU WANT A TICKET?"
"ok..."
"KEEP YOUR SPEED DOWN...BESIDES, IF YOU TRIED TO RUN...THIS THING RIPS"
He then proceeds to start up his bike, stalls it, starts it up again, and then takes off. I was just sitting there completely stupefied. You can't even make this sh!t up. One of the worst experiences with a cop i've ever had. A complete tool.
Not to mention, I was on one of my old racebikes that I converted back to the street. I could've outran that guy on a moped...wouldn't have been the first time i've ran either.

When he first pulled me over he told me I was going to jail. I explained I had a flight home to Canada in 6 hours, and he showed a little mercy.
The only reason he let me off with a ticket was because it was a dead straight dead flat deserted piece of highway in the Nevada Desert. I would have seen him, but the only other vehicle on the road for 25 minutes was a motor home with a state trooper behind him.------♥♥-----
