Rickie Weeks HR, Carlos Gomez HR to lead off the year.

A walk, a single and a sac fly to take a 3-0 lead with 1 out.

I was hoping Gallardo would be settled into the three spot as he would be up against weaker pitching. His win total should be quite impressive this season unless the Brewers rotation is plagued with injuries.

Impressive start on the road.

Milwaukee always starts the season out on the road.

agreed. Not a super good start by him, but there's plenty of game left.

Yo-ga is a pretty good hitter for a pitcher. I hate the bunt with 2 strikes call.

Rickie starting out right where he left off last year. Finally showing why he batted .500 in his senior year at Southern U

It took him soooooooo long to develop but he finally has through hard work. I wouldn't have had the patience to stick with him as long as the Brewers did.

It's still very early but it will be great to see how Axford handles the closer role alone in his second season (knock on wood).

Two losses all of last season and he picks one up already with a three run lead.

Turnbow comparisons are going to run wild on sports radio on my drive in to work. Packers draft needs to get here now.

I couldn't watch the game because I am at work but I had the ESPN tracker on. When it was hit, All I said was "Are you kidding me" 6 or so times.

The brewers will make me rage...

I turned 36 yesterday and I've seen the Brewers in the playoffs twice!!!

In b4 Axford is 3/7 in save opportunities and we have to go to Takashi Saito, who will get hurt after his second save, causing us to go back to Axford who will blow 3 more in his next 6 chances. So much fun being a Brewers fan sometimes.

The one thing I do not like about our opening day loss was a lack of a short hook for our bullpen once again. Getting bases loaded (the rolen/phillips play was crap) with 0 outs and leaving him in when he's obviously struggling doesn't seem very smart to me. Just my .02.

And the umps did a pretty poor job all game. Kotsay's play was clearly a catch and Brandon Phillips touched the infield grass.

Well bad start so far...

Time to get a home win at their home opener...I'm on my way to brookfield right now to my brothers to start the festivities...found some lowerbowl tickets for cheap on stub hub last night, party bus and boozing time!

Yeah, I was there yesterday too. Was pretty brutal.

Prince has no confidence (nor do I have confidence in Prince right now).
Gomez swings for the fences every mother effin time because he hit a HR his first AB.
Nieves couldn't even make contact to move runners over.

Weeks and Braun are the only ones with swag and a confident approach at the plate.

Not even close to panic mode now. I remember the Brewers winning their first 6 and not making playoffs. So many games in baseball its not even funny.
