Nope. The reason I got into lifting is because of my dad. I've seen pictures of him looking HUGE when he was younger. Allegedly he could barbell cheat curl 225lbs for a couple reps and there is old training partners I have heard back him up on that claim.

hard to say. my dad was an active dude but he wasn't huge or anything. He did military service for year and was always pretty fit. That being said I am 6'7 and he is 5'11 on a good day

My dad started me off in the gym, 165kg bench, 225kg squat and 180kg deadlift(has a problem with one of this hands hence not so good at DL'S) he would smash me into pieces. he also used to be a bouncer, will try and find a picture of him and scan it in.

My dad wrestled for Penn State. I weigh about 100lbs more than he did at the time, but if we got on the ground he might put a nasty submission on me lol

My father has always been a standout athlete. He was 6'5 250lbs in his prime playing for the sf49ers for 3 years. Still trains to this day..not a chance in hell I would even attempt it.

however he grew up in a rough boarding school since age 7, then went to college paid for by himself at 16 years old, and had travelled the world with my mother (safaris in africa, skiing in the alps, etc) by the time he was my age.

And I still live at home, feels fukkin bad.

You guys are forgetting the fact that lifting has nothing to do with taking a punch to the chin.

I've been training bjj for over 5 years now along with boxing and mma. Don't think I'd have a problem.

My Dad was like exactly my size in his prime, but at like 30 you have a bit more of that "man strength" if you know what I mean. It'd be close but I think I'd lose.

This, one of the reason I started working out in highschool. My dad was just naturally strong, never worked out before just strong and I was a stick. I wanted to change that, even now I can bench/squat/deadlift more then he ever could but his grip is way beyond where mine probably will ever be. Still wouldn't want to mess with him.
