alright i dunno if im the only person like this..but i have phases..some days i really wanna get huge and other days all i wanna do is just cut down...both would be beneficial to me but i hate how i really cant stick to just one side.
anyone else relate?

I go through this on about a weekly basis. I lost 10 pounds in january and decided to try and bulk to put some healthier (muscle) weight on. My plan is to bulk until the end of April but I worry that starting to cut in May will not be soon enough for summer so then I think I should start cutting sooner. If I don't stick to a plan I'll be cutting/bulking every month and I'm sure I won't get anywhere.
I would pick one either way and stick with it. If you choose the wrong one you can do a clean bulk or start a cut later. You'll get there in the end.

yeah man just try to look at it as a compound goal. You don't want to just cut, and you don't want to just bulk. You want to be 245 at 12% body fat(just an example) So if you get down to 12 right now you'll only be 210 let's say, won't work. but if you bulk up to 255 you won't be at 12%...you have to do both. so keep your eyes on the prize and just understand that it's a process, not one swift action. If it were easy, everyone would be big and cut.
So just start bulking and when you get to your target cutting weight start cutting. Don't worry about what you look like during the process, it's an end result that you're interested in. If you end up where you want to be in december...take your shirt off anyway, haha, if you're 6'3" 245 and cut, the ladies will appreciate the nudity no matter what the temperature is outside.Life Goals:

Same here. I've added a deal of mass since my last pic and get torn between bulking and cutting every other damn day. It's such a stupid thing to be bothered about. My daily diet ends up right in the middle. Ok... Going to focus on the cut for now. Last summer was my first real cut and it didn't take long at all to get results.
