Posted this in the misc... thought it might get a better response here...
I've been struggling to get my bodyfat much lower, and to lose the fat hanging around my stomach, so I've decided to try drastically reducing my carbs as well as monitoring overall calorie deficit.
Today I had an awesome high protein/high fat/low carb dinner, and a surprisingly delicious low carb dessert!
DINNER
Massive Chunk of Chicken! Was like and inch and a half thick. Brined, and marinated in Chilli and Garlic, then cooked on the BBQ alongside some bacon rashers.
Once that was nicely done (but still very moist) I added sliced avocado (yes, has some carbs, but a lot of them are fiberous carbs which are indigestible, so they don't count).
Then I added the bacon.
Then I added cheese on top.
And grilled.
It was awesomely delicious! I couldn't even finish it all. There's something about high fat and protein meals that makes them very filling. I'm saving some of that chicken for tomorrow.
Had some broccoli and a mix of bruschetta style tomoatoes (without the toast).
DESSERT
For dessert, I had a low carb 'cheesecake' made with thickened cream, cream cheese, splenda and 70% dark chocolate. It tastes surprisingly awesome. It's a little like a mousse at the moment, didn't really let it set yet.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

TONY'S QUICK AND EASY NO BAKE CHEESECAKE

Dessert Cheesecake Not Baked
Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
250 g whipping cream -- 8 oz
250 g cream cheese -- 8 oz softened
2 tbsp cocoa
1/2 cup splenda
1 tsp vanilla extract
30 g bittersweet chocolate -- 1 oz
70% cocoa I use Lindt not LC but use only
Melt chocolate in a stainless steel bowl over a simmering saucepan. Beat all ingredients until smooth adding chocolate last. It should take about five minutes beating to reach the smoothness that I like. Chill for at least one hour before serving. Best overnight. A drop or two of liqueur or brandy adds the final touch.
I have yet to see any of this dessert surviving overnight. Most of the time it gets eaten within minutes of being made.
