    havent done squats in damn near 2 months so was unsure of what would happen , goal was a 3 plate squat figuring if that went well I would keep goin till I got woblly or form broke down and then I would call it a day.

    315 was cake lol , still at 168 lbs bw no wraps , no belt , no excuses

    remembered Flex said somethin about takin the vids off to the side for depth check so I moved the camera ...

    355 x 1


    355 got me the wobbles so I quit with that lift. Everything after 315 are new PRs.

    All the squats are just below parallel and as low as I can go rite now doin high bar squattin , messed around with low bar squats w 135 after I was done and I think Ill be switchin over . It felt better , more stable and I got better depth. The pic below is from the 355 ....

    I dunno how you made improvement wihtout doing them, () but all of those sets are much better than the last vid I saw of you doing 315.

    you know, with your deads and this....you are approaching an elite level with the powerlifting. i bet 1300 is within your reach. i don't think i've seen you do a bb bench, but i've seen you throw around some heavy dumbbells.

    Nice work Steve! I expected nothing less as there is definite carryover from deadlifts to squats and vice versa. You're pretty much ready for a competition; if nothing else, for fun and grabbing a cool trophy. State records will come.

    Hack squats and leg press has done more for leg strength than regular squats ever did for me.

    + teh girly hip adduction machine got rid of my lower weight wobble and shaky leg thing I used to have on squats.

    No snadbaggin here .... I only do that on deads

    You got to remember, it is NOT about wining a powerlifting competition, you win when you hit a PR. So if you you start out at 150lbs and by June 30 you hit 225 it is a win to you. Once you come into a cpmpetition to win it ... you loose it is that simple.There is always going to be someone that can lift more than you no matter what.

    I only have a smith at the gym. I won't even be doing squats this month...will do front squats. But, I hope to get a good max squat in sometime early this summer.

    Still in healing / Recovery mode but look to throw up some numbers soon. I think I am going to have to work back up to the 335 mark though

    you and me both, brother. my workouts have been sporadic at best, and then i threw out my back. yesterday i did a whopping 135 for squats.

    i videoed it....glad i did. because i thought i was going atg. turns out i am barely hitting parallel. wtf. for YEARS i thought my rom was greater. i have alot of work to do.
