biggest lift in weight class period regardless of bw or lb for lb over bw ( like the deadlift comp ) ???
Im shootin for at least 2.5 but who knows I never really squat heavy for singles ... Gonna go for 315 come next leg day and thats still under 2 x bw. 336 would get me that but unsure if I can do it as I never went over 3 plates before
Weghts kinda relative though , to compare , biggerjons 600 squat is 40 lbs less than 2 x his bw but nobody will argue that 600 lbs aint a huge squat .... even if there isnt a vid

i'm not getting something. for all the folks that workout, why not join in? i joined the dl comp knowing i had no chance to compete with you, but i made GREAT progress, just ef'ing trying.
come on people. join up and let's see what we can all do.

F'k me..................
I don't want to start adding rules as we go here, but I kinda figured it went without saying that we're looking for CURRENT lift vids. I mean, then entire point of this is to spur some improvement in each of the competitors, not to have someone pop in and post a vid of what they once lifted, be it a year ago or whatever. Contest goes to June 2011, so IMHO a vid from May 2010 is not really relevant.
Anyone else have any comments on this?

PS: I agree, nice lift skiboy1955.

Not a problem it is repeatable but right now I'm getting ready for a multiply meet (hoping for a 800lb squat) so I won't post anything till after April when the meet is done.
We are all grown ups here and not like the kids section so I'll have more and I'm not offended.
Besides I know more people will post in June to show their best lifts then.Good Luck!

I guess I will get in on this too. But, my gym has no squat rack or power rack so the only time I can go for heavy wt is when I'm out of town on leg day.

A step backwards is better than a setback.
If this (insert whatever trivial thing that is upsetting me) is the worst thing to happen today, I'm going to have a great day.

Today I tried 1RM's for the 1st time ever to get a baseline squat number. I used a belt that this gym has. I went to video my 1st set and the camera was dead
I ran home to get another camera and I think it messed up my rhythm, after my 275 set I thought 315 was gonna be a cinch, but I ended up with a wobbly 295. I know I'm gonna take a beating on form but this is the 1st time I've had more than maybe 235 on my shoulders.
