    I have some questions I'm 15

Ok so I'm new here and I have some questions. I did read the FAQ and many other post but I just wanted to know for sure.

    Info-
    Age: 15
    Weight: 115

I'm going to take creatine monohydrate today and on the bottle it says to take 5grams.

Since I'm 15 and it's my first time taking it would 3grams be good? And how many ounces of Gatorade should I take with it I hear 6 or 8 I want to be sure what it is.

How long is it usually before I notice how much more weight I can lift and body weight I gain?

And last taking 3grams a day (3 days a week) for 2 months then stopping for a month is the correct way to use it right?

    Thanks for your answers.

You don't have to cycle it. A.K.A you can use it 365 days a year.
Also just take the whole 5 grams. And it doesn't really matter how much Gatorade you take it with.

3 grams is fine, as is 5.

Doesn't matter how much Gatorade, or even if you drink it w/ Gatorade.

    Few weeks.

No, do not stop taking it.

I don't know so much about taking creatine at your young age since your adolsent body is giving off all kinds of hormones and growing yourself into an adult. All types of chemical balances are already being affected anyway.
    But thats my two cents.
Just drink a lot of water, or "gatorade" whichever because of the water retention that is associated with creatine mono.

I read in a few places that after a while you "build a tolerance" to it and it isn't as effective as it was.

You don't, and all not taking it for a month will achieve is lowering your levels of saturation (not even to baseline), thereby making it less effective.

ignore this guy... creatine is good regardless of age, it gives you energy for sports and with good water intake it fills ur cells with water, increasing their overall volume with water to allow more nutrients to go into the cell, thus helping muscle growth... HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH AGE, OR DEVELOPMENT...

take 5 grams a day of monohydrate with no less than half a gallon of water.. shoot for 1 gall a day..

and may i recommend kre-alkalyn creatine, its PH balanced so the stomach acids dont destroy it.

    Yes.

Also, disregard kre-alk. Massive marketing scam is massive.

Why 5grams? Wouldn't 3grams be good for a beginner and then go up to 4 or 5 in about 3 weeks of using it?

And I already bought monohydrate so I wouldn't get that for a while but I'll look into it and thanks for the info.

your body naturally produces creatine in small amounts.

all your doing when u buy it is simply putting more in your body to realize its full effect. (claims of increased endurance, size, etc.)

5 grams is the standard amount. 3 might just be not enough.

some people do creatine loading where u might take 10-20grams a day during ur first week in order to fill up on it faster and get results quicker.

having excess creatine wont kill you

I'm still thinking if 3 or 5 is good or not for me. And I know about taking 4 servings of 5 grams per day for the first few times but I think I'll stick with 5 until I learn more about it. Thanks
