can powerlifting and bodybuilding be done at the same time?

I want to add a bit more mass in the some muslces, but I want to start powerlifting as well. Would it work if I did 2 days a week of powerlifting and 2 days a week of bodybuidling style routines? or would they just contradict each other and get no results?

Yea you can man. This site is filled with bro-science that will tell you otherwise but if you keep eating big and lift heavy you will get stronger and bigger. Eventually if you wanted to become a REAL competitive bodybuilder your training styles would have to change but that is far out of the equation for most people.

You will have to find a competition that lets you cover yourself in fake tan, get into a bikini bottom, and then do three attempts of squat, bench, and deadlift.

I think posing between attempts would be the best strategy. Just do your leg poses before you squat to warm up, and your arm poses before benching, and so on.

look up Layne Nortons power/hypertrophy routine. I ran it for awhile and made good gains. The hypertrophy days are like marathons though.

Yes. The high reps from the bodybuilding routine would cancel out the low reps from the powerlifting one, so in the end you'd be essentially not working out.

    Repped for accuracy.

I've said this before, but the best powerlifters don't actually work out; they just do competitions. This is because they do the fewest amount of reps possible. Bodybuilders do high reps and make the water go to their fat, turning into muscles. This is also what creatine does.

This is flawed, you should never do 1 rep thus you should never know your 1rm.... Unless you mean estimated 1rm?

I've said this before, but the best powerlifters don't actually work out; they just do competitions. This is because they do the fewest amount of reps possible. Bodybuilders do high reps and make the water go to their fat, turning into muscles. This is also what creatine does.
This is untrue. There is no way to turn fat into muscle. Fat can be used as a fuel via beta-oxidation, but there is no way to turn fat into an amino acid chain. Creatine on the other hand, aids in the synthesis of ATP which fuels the active transport of water into the muscle cells. This is a completely different process which does not involve fats. If you would like for me to explain this in greater detail please pm me.
