SS work out log,20- 30 pounds in 6 months.

    ****xzxd's log****

goal: gain 20-30 pounds in 6 months.

About me: 17 year old guy trying to pack on some pounds. im a skinny dude but with my new diet and work out routine, im trying to gain some weight. i did lift before but not constitantly and i only benched and did some curls. so i had a unproportionate body.

Diet: 2700~3250 calorie diet. Protein sources = all the whey super mass 600, and gallons of whole milk.

    starting - 129ish pounds (127-130)

    First day of training 2/9/11
    Wednesday:

    bench press : 3x5 115 pounds

    squat : 3x5 135 pounds

    deadlift : 1x5 115 pounds

Review of workout: my legs felt ripped apart and sittin on the toilet was painful lmao. but i enjoy doing squats. my only question is why didnt i do squats before?

    2/11/11

    squat 3x5 150 pounds

    standing press 3x5 70 pounds

    power cleans 3x5 85 pounds

Review: Was a little slower on my last set of the squat but i pulled through. Standing press was also good

Power cleans on the other hand were really hard(Form wise). Im pretty sure my form wasnt right but ill post up a video soon asking for advice. Im trying to get my form down but 2 10 plates makes the bar reallllly low. If anyone can post videos to help me out on this it would be nice.

    2/14/10

    squats 3x5 160 pounds
    bench press 3x5 125 pounds
    deadlift 145 pounds

review: Raised my squats by ten and my bench by ten. Im surprised i was able to do this cause i really lacked rest today. (5 hrs of sleep) squats were pretty hard because iwas exhausted from yesterday ( work )
Trying to nail dead lift form before raising the weight above squats.

I am starting to see some results in my body and i think i gained some weight. Weigh in is on wednesday. Really starting to enjoy working out.

    update

    2/16/10

    squat 3x5 170
    standing press 3x5 75
    power cleans 3x5 90

So i almost skipped lifting today cause i had only 4 hours of sleep for the past 2 days... Looking foward to some much needed rest. I now weigh 131 so i gained around 2 pounds since i started the program which was last week. Very satisfied. Hopefully i can keep this momentum going and reach my goal weight. Looking to incorperate bicep curls, ab work, dips, and pull ups soon.

    Bench press 135 4 reps 130lb 5 rep 130lb.5rep
    Squat 180.1x5 175 x 5 155 x 5
    Deadlift 155 1 x 5

So I'm lowering my squat next time to 145. I.don't think.my legs were a good form. I didn't bend 90 degrees hense why I lowered the weight. Is this a good idea am I taking off to much weight
