what do u guys think of 1 set workouts?

done a program where during the same workout there are various exercises for the same muscle but only 1 set for each exercise (all out). So instead of 3 exercises for triceps x 3 sets, i have done 9 exercises for triceps but each is for 1 set. Does that work out to be the same or is there any advantage over multiple sets?

As long as you are training to failure on each set then u dont need many at all, I usually do 6 sets for big muscl groups and 3 for smaller

personally i wouldn't like doing that routine. I stick with the best exercises and do a decent amount of sets for each. The only thing i change is the intensity level of my workout.

Thanks for the replies.I might try the 1 set per exercise for isolation exercises and
stick with traditional 3 set per exercise for compound lifts i.e. deadlifts, squats, etc
See how that works and adjust things from there
