1.3 Dimethylpentylamine ... think I'm in trouble?

Hey guys, I got a question. I recently bought Betancourts Ripped Juice EX 2, and took it a few times pre workout, seemed to work pretty good. The thing is, I just saw on the top that it contains 1.3 Dimethylpentylamine . So I went on the WADA prohibited list, and of course, Dimethylpentylamine is banned. So I'm wondering, how long does it stay in your system? I have Cross country starting in August this year (High School), and If I got tested would this show up? I've stopped taking it since I read it was banned.

There is an extremely small chance of actually getting tested for HS cross country. Most likely, it would only happen at the national level. That being said, I would still avoid it

I can't imagine it staying in your system any longer than 1-2 days -- 3 at most...

Shouldn't stay in ur system for more than a day or two. When I got on probation I tested positive for amphetamines and the only thing I could think of was the 1,3 dim in jack3d because other people have failed drug tests because if it too. I stopped taking it and took another drug test 2 days after I stopped and I passed

1. you wont get tested for xc in high school dude. unless you're like the best on earth

2. it wont stay in your system that long. only drugs that are stored in fat *thc* stay in your system for long amounts of time. drugs like coke only stay in you for a couple days. so id say you're fine as long as you stop a month before the season

Well I know most are doing "Random" testing, but thats for like DRUGS.

As far as a test for supps and what not, I don't know if they even do, I know my school doesn't, it's the IHSAA i don't know about

im just thinking...........i really dont understand how a public high school can "randomly drug test" students............plus the school's pickin up the check for that...........unless its a private school, which could change things

I hear ya, and nah its public haha. But get this, they only test anyone in a sport though, which I think is a waste time, I don't think the Varsity Quarterback is gonna be shooting up heroin.

yeah kinda. i did four seasons of track and 3 seasons of cross country, and was never tested for anything nor did i here of anyone getting tested. and there were some pretty damn good runners. German Fernandez, who broke the two mile and 3200 meter national record in 2008 lived a few miles from me.

Up until recently Texas has run a steroid testing program at a cost of $6M annually (I think the # is right). I think it's one of the things on the chopping block during the current budget process. The program should hav enever been instituted.

#2 - even if #1 above was REALLY the way it is (which it is not) - you still CANNOT test false positive for amphetamines or methamphetamines from 1,3 dimethylamylamine or dimethylpentylamine use, as some (even in this very thread) have claimed. it is impossible, quite literally, as the basic chemistry will show below.

rest assured: if someone claimed they got a false positive specifically due to 1, 3 compound, they are lying. period.

finally - OP, you are 17. while i'll not condemn you for using items that clearly state you need to be 18yrs of age to use, i will say you are not only worrying yourself needlessly over the testing, but using a product that perhaps is best left for use when you attain proper age.

Yeah I'm trying to sell em and stick with my ironman perform
But I'm not saying i'll test positive for amphetamines or methamphetamines, I'm saying that the test would show the dimethylpentylamine in my system if they tested for it, but the above posts says it would be out of me at 3 days tops. I'm not sure if the IHSAA tests by the WADA standards, if they test at all.
