Hello a month ago i started doing The Plank exercise and now i am doing them weigthed i also want to begin doing the Side Planks now my question is what are the benefits.
If i do them will that start to increase my Deadlift? And if they do increase my Deadlift numbers do any of you know other Plank variations for an even bigger increase Deadlift strength.

The plank works the transverse abdominis (a core muscle that lies beneath the rectus abdominis which are muscles you can see) as well as whatever muscles you're using to stabilize yourself. Will they increase your deadlift? Theorectically? I suppose minimally if not negligabally. I say this because the core muscles are certainly stimulated during deadlifts bur they're certainly not the prime movers. Off topic, why are you looking to increase your deadlift?

I am working my way up to 3x bw deadlift for this year i can already do 2.4xbw since today so im looking for many assistance exercises and what the benefits are of those.
I also working to get my core/lower back as strong as possible to avoid injuries.
