    70+ grams of fiber per day

    So i calculated im averaging over 70g of fiber per day, sometimes over 100, mostly from bagels and oatmeal. i dont feel any side effects but i dont want something to go unnoticed. can too much fiber fuk any of my organs up? my stool is always like those rabbit droppings... little round ones. the CHO recommends 20-35 per day. i drink LOTS of water.

    Fiber is not digested normally -- insoluble fiber is of no caloric value whatsoever, and soluble fiber is fermented in your colon into short chain fatty acids (I think the most widely accepted caloric value is 2 calories per gram of soluble fiber ferments into SCFA's). Your organs are fine, and likely, you're not doing yourself any harm. Waaaay too much fiber can disrupt normal digestion, but you're not even close to "waaay" too much.

    Can you tell me more in-depth of how you are getting over 70g fiber? I never come near that.

    Not OP, but I'm at 64g fiber today.

    Oats, sunflower seeds, walnuts, peas, carrots, potatoes, apple, oranges, pineapple, banana, avocado, blueberries.

    I'm a pretty small guy and I usually get 70-80g per day. I occasionally have digestive problems with certain types of fiber, but it's never done me any harm. Keeps me full too.
