the point is that a bobcat wouldnt fight a pitbull unless it had to
and if it had to the pitbull wouldnt have a chance, you havent seen what a mother protecting its nest is capable of doing.
thats what that house cat did, it was protecting its kittens, and it would die protecting them, but before that it would make sure that the attacker would suffer as much damage as possible

If you think a bobcat is just the same as a house cat then you are fukking deluded.
My uncle owns a bengal housecat and let me tell you that it's A LOT more muscular than a normal housecat, it goes out to the woods to hunt all the time and even fights foxes. The rest if the time it just chills out. The difference in genetics is insane, and I'm talking about two housecats here.
A bobcat fights to survive every fukking day of its life because its a WILD fukking animal, with 100% pure genetics.
If you think some piece of **** slow stupid pitbull can stand up against a bobcat then lol I loled.

People who think the pit would destroy the bobcat are ****ing stupid. If youve ever even seen a wild bobcat you would know how bad these sonofabitches are.
Certain pitbulls would be able to defeat a bobcat but id say bobcats would win 75-80% of the time. Depends on how fast the cat is at ripping the pits eyes out.
But without a doubt, this guys owns all:

i think there r alot of factors in play. if its ur average 25 lb bobcat and an 80 or 90lb pit and the pit is in full charge pretty sure the cat is not sticing around. ide say if they start face to face its a dif. story. but still pitbull> bobcat. lets call billy the exterminator and ask him

This!
Most people have seen pitbulls and have been brought up believing that they are extremely viscious killing machines. However, I doubt even half the population have seen a bobcat in the wild.
The OP said nothing about trained pitbull champion. Because of that, I assume he meant an average pitbull vs an average bobcat so I voted for the bobcat.
Now granted, most wild animals will try to avoid confrontation. However, if its unavoidable, they will fight to the death especially if it's to defend their young.
Felines are much more efficient hunters/killers, when they want to or need to be. Like someone else mentioned, cats have 5 ways to inflict damage where as dogs have one. I've seen strays cats fighting and it is some crazy sh*t; jumping, turning, grabbing, clawing, biting, spinning, twisting, rolling.

I still can't believe how many idiots underestimate pits. They are bred to fight for a reason.
And to the *******s saying "Oh pitbulls are domesticated blah blah blah" they will always have their killer instincts. You don't just lose that. Then again, what do you expect from the misc other than broscience and stupidity.

Lol @ you idiots saying that pits are 100lbs. Yeah, they'll be 100lbs when their owners feed them constantly and are fat a **** and won't be able to fight at all.
The average weight of a pit is 55lbs. The cat will win. Hands down. All you guys saying that pits will win are being biased because you probably own a pit, or know people that do.

They are domesticated. They don't have "killer instincts". They are family dogs, that CAN be selectively bred to fight.
I don't know who started the bromyth of Pit Bulls being bred to fight was, but he sure got you all believing some nonsense.
The dog was bred first to bait bulls and bears.[3] When baiting bulls was deemed inhumane, ratting, a sport where a number of rats were placed in a pit for a specified time with the dog, and dog fighting became more popular. The APBT was used in both sports, and its prevalence in being put in pits with rats led to "pit" being added to its name.[4] With time, the dogs became more commonly used as house pets due to their friendliness towards people.[5] In America, farmers and ranchers used their APBTs for protection, as catch dogs for semi-wild cattle and hogs, to hunt, and to drive livestock.[6] The dog was used during World War I and World War II as a way of delivering messages on the battlefield.★ cVc ★ 15R ★ OIF - OEF ★

Just to give some of you 'wild animalz are so strong!!!' people an idea..
Bulldog bite force is 305 lbs
Forgetabout it. The Pit eats the spooted kitty with no problemo. The pit would snap the bobcats neck, severing the juglar or ripping the cat apart if bit anywhere else. There is a youtube vid of a Kangal dog spotting a bobcat in the wild, running over, snapping it up and shaking it. The owner runs over and grabs the dog. They both walk away with a dead bobcat on the trail. This whole incident only took a couple of moments. Imagine what a game pit would do?
AND FINALLY THE FACT THAT THE PITBULL IS DOMESTIC = IT IS BETTER
The pitbull is not trained for anything but to FIGHT.. to kill other animals... the cat is a jack of all trades designed to survive in the wild in any 1v1 the pitbulls got a huge advantage...
