    Cybex Seated Leg Press

Does anyone have any experience with the below Cybex Leg Press with a 400 pound stack? I believe it is model 4860 based on the pic and specs. I'm looking for any feedback on whether it is a worthwhile addition.

Not worth the footprint; 400 pounds won't be much of a challenge for Leg Presses, and there's no way to substantially increase the weight. I'd pass.

    Look for a 45 degree machine that's plate-loaded instead.

I really like selectorized leg presses. Maybe I'm weak, but I've never had an issue with there not being enough weight. I own a Bodymasters that has a different motion, but it also has 400lbs and I really like it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the 400lbs on a machine like that one is 400lbs whereas weight put on a 45 degree press is much less, hence the reason most people can do so much weight. I generally workout with 200lbs to 300lbs for 20 reps and get a good leg workout.

My suggestion would be to try it out and see if you like it. What you think about it is what matters most.
