Wife and I attended 2 movies today, Pirates #4 and the newest X-Men. Pirates was enjoyable with the usual great special effects, but the story seemed forced and was more of the same ole stuff we have seen before. Except for the mermaid scene which was excellent.
Then we saw X-men whatever the heck number this one is. Excellent prequel that sums up how a few of the major characters came to be what they are in the later movies. Kevin Bacon was fantastic in his role as the uber bad guy.

Yea, I just saw X-Men too. good story line and I agree with Corbi. It filled in a lot of gaps about how it all began. I'd watch it again when it comes out on dvd.

hahaha @ no homo
To each's own...he's a cutie.
I highly suggest you give Hangover 1 a try...think you'd change your mind. I feel the way you do over the guy who played in Shallow Hal. What's his name? Jack Black? Granted, he was good in that movie. But, overrated actor. So, I tend to avoid movies he's in, too. Except Kung Fu Panda. He was the voice over...and my daughter forced me to see it.

Who DO you like?
Here's a movie suggestion...THE PIANIST. About the Holocaust, but very different. About a guy who ends up 'hiding' in bombed villages, so he will not be taken away into the concentration camps. It's deep, moving, sad...but, definitely gets you to think about what would be worse? Hiding from the nazis, worried every moment you'd be found...or being taken away to the camps. Makes you think.

Pitt was great in Inglorious Bastards and I can't recall the name of the one where he played a goofball in a gym and ended up getting killed? Cruise is definitely a pretty boy and knows it, but I loved his acting in Knight & Day, he played the super agent way way over the top and it was funny as hell.

WEG,
Did you see the Western version or the Japanese one? The Japanese one is infinitely spookier. Same director (I think) but having seen both versions, I'll go with the Japanese one.
Also watched X-Men, First Class. Quite good; much better than the Wolverine movie."Don't call me Miss Kitty. Just...don't."--Catnip. Check out the Catnip Trilogy on Amazon.com
"Chivalry isn't dead. It just wears a skirt."--Twisted, the YA gender bender deal of the century!
Check out my links to Mr. Taxi, Star Maps, and other fine YA Action/Romance novels at http://www.amazon.com/J.S.-Frankel/e/B004XUUTB8/ref=dp_byline_cont_ebooks_1
