Interstellar on imax had its flaws but the music/sounds/feel and entertainment value more then made up for it. Most fun at a movie since TDK.

I'll have to check interstellar when it comes out on DVD.

Watched Close Encounter of the Third Kind last night.

I'd never seen the whole thing. It's strange but really sucks you in. Kids liked it!

Yeah I saw that too. It was definitely a different movie.

Caught big hero six with Logan last weekend and for a kids movie it was really good. A lot of funny moments where I was actually laughing pretty hard.

Also caught 22 jumpstreet and when the game stands tall on the hacked apple TV.

22 jumpstreet was about the same as the first onb, decent but not stellar

when the game stands tall was really good

Just watched Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry. Does it stand the test of time from when it was made? IMO, yes. I have seen it many many times, but still enjoy it. It is on Amazon right now.

Wish they would make Vanishing Point available. Love those 90 minute car chase movies.

Vanishing Point is available, I have it as well as Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry.

Watched "Drive Hard" with John Cussack and Thomas Jane, it sucked big time. The plot was asinine and while there were a couple of sweet rides in it, the whole constantly showing Jane shifting the auto trans over and over was plain asinine.

Then watched "Expendables 3", let me start off by stating I loved the 1st one and absolutely hated the 2nd so had no hope of this one being any good. I was pleasantly surprised and its a decent flick. Action is good as is the plot and they backed off on the one liners a lot, Arnold is about the only one who uses numerous old lines of his over and over.

Frozen Ground starring Nicholas Cage based on the true events of a serial killer in Alaska was pretty good, wasn't your typical Cage poor acting job.

Maleficent starring Angelina Jolie was good as well, a different version of Sleeping Beauty. It was a lot better than I had expected.

This is out on Netflix. Language was terrible. Arnold really didn't seem like he was trying very hard. Storyline was pretty good but I didn't understand a lot of things that were supposed to pull it together. Plenty of very grisly death scenes if that's your thing.

I concur....we bought the DVD after renting it when it first came out.
I believe it got panned by the (self-perceived) critics but I don't listen to them anyway.
Considering the end I'd expected there may be a sequel to the story.

Over the Turkey weekend we checked out:
Hercules - it was merely OK but I wouldn't buy the DVD....it wasn't that good to us.
X-Men Days Of Future Passed - same with this one....just OK but not one I'd purchase.

We checked out a couple others but I can't remember what they were.
I guess that may be a clue to their appeal.

    Back to topic....

Why do I do this weightlifting thing for the last 32 years with all its ups and downs life has handed me? Because each time I came back stronger. NEVER GIVE UP. Gym life is about more than muscles getting bigger and weights going up. Its wisdom discipline dedication humility you name it.

Just watched Brick Mansions with Paul Walker, pretty decent movie overall.
Then watched the 2nd Purge movie Anarchy, was better then the 1st one but that's not saying a lot. Found myself wanting this thing to get over quickly.

    Thumbs up Hours

Movie on Netflix. A guy struggles to keep his newborn alive in an abandoned hospital after Hurricane Katrina. It seems like a slow start but you won't regret seeing this through to the end.

    Cliffs: Hours, watch it

Lesson Hollywood should have learned a long time ago. Never mess with a classic.

Christian Bale is a fine actor, but I kept expecting him to say "Swear to meeeeeeee, Pharoah" and as for the rest of the whitebread cast...great paycheck. Not terrible, but not that great, either, and NO one could take the actor playing Pharoah seriously. What a wimpy looking dude! Sorry, Yul Brynner defined the role and this guy...didn't.

Guardians of the Galaxy, i'm going to have to watch it again before I give an opinion. Right now I will say that were a lot of parts I liked as well as stuff I didn't care for or was too drawn out.
