I just got done doing Bill Starr's 5x5 routine for about a year and now moving onto a split where I work each muscle once a week. My concern is can i have a high volume of lifts since I am working the muscles out once week as opposed to working a body part multiple times as I did on Bill Starr. I ask this because I did my first chest routine today and felt it was not enough to get that "burn" feeling. I have the goal to "sculpt" the mass I gained from bill starrs along with strength. I wanted to know is high volume good considering I was on bill starrs for a long time..?
