This is going way too far. Not only do they claim to be a "judgment free zone" while judging everyone that cares about their physique, now they are attacking arguably the greatest bodybuilder of all time and the main source of inspiration for many of us.
Will Brink has gotten in on the action
This is seriously one of the most unbelievable marketing approaches I have ever seen. This is the perfect example of the pussification of the human race in general. Is it okay to be fat? No, absolutely not.
Let's get a crew going and make strides in the real world to let it be known that this will not stand. I suggest writing letters, visiting your local planet fitness and overall educating everyone around you as to the ridiculousness of PF.
I'm thinking about purchasing a "Shut the Fuk up and Train" shirt from Animal and wearing it with boots and a bandana to my local PF to try and sign up.

70 i believe. This isn't just about boycotting planet fitness as most serious lifters (not including people that can't afford anything else) would never step foot in there. This is about letting them know that they're attacking of the bodybuilding population as a whole, including the most iconic bodybuilder of all time is not acceptable.
Will brink said it best. If i made a gym that said no fatties, i'd have a lawsuit on my hands.
edit: I understand the intimidation factor of bodybuilders in general. Hell, I didn't start lifting until 3 years ago because I was always tiny and weak (inb4 stats quote), but people need to get over it and realize that their health is more important than being afraid that someone views you as a pussy.
Obesity is the #1 problem facing people (and more so America) and it not only affects them, but us as well, in the way of rising health care costs.

Lame, but I like Planet Fitness. It lets all the whiny *******s have a place to train so they don't invade our gyms. If it were closed these morons would flood back into regular gyms and destroy the atmosphere.
When all that says 'it is good' has been debunked, what says 'I want' remains.

this really annoys me. i was recently attacked on slickdeals when i warned people of the rules that planetfitness has before they sign up for one of their new membership deals.
without even having an avatar i was told i had too much testosterone and that i must love throwing the weights around.
for a judgement free zone, they judge the sh*t out of bodybuilders and powerlifters.MISC STRENGTH CREW

Absolutely. When I see people in the gym that are relatively new, I like to make them feel comfortable because everyone is a beginner at some point. However, I won't stop "psyching" myself up before a lift just to make someone comfortable. I don't throw weights around, I don't drop them forcefully (unless necessary) and I don't belittle people for being weaker than I.
This definitely holds true, however, I am not upset with the fact that it is a gym for pussies. I am upset with the fact that they feel the need to attack the people who make lifting weights more than just a hobby.
They've certainly done their job then

I looked up planet fitness and wiki and apparently
'The Lunk Alarm is sounded when patrons "Grunt, Drop Weights, do unapproved lifts such as deadlifting, or lifting too much (exhibition)."'
Is this real life
So if I'm doing some PF approved exercise like curling minding my own business not grunting I can still have an alarm sound if they think the weight is too high?"Adversity reveals genius, prosperity conceals it."
Think about what you want in life. Then ask yourself what you're doing to achieve it.

that might be a little too far. I just want their top dogs to understand that they are more judging than 99% of other gyms and that it isn't acceptable.
Yeah, what a pile of dog poop
slickdeals is a great site, but it too is full of pussies.
Great for making money I suppose, but so is mugging people at night when they're by themselves. Doesn't make it right
lulz, kick their asses in shape.
I want to say that when I'm lifting, I demean myself and that makes me want to work so much harder. This might not work for everyone, but it does work for some.
Reminds me of the Mail Call guy. Ya JACKWAGON!
