LOL... Came from from the gym yesterday and all my daughters friends were sitting around in th kitchen , etc. Anyways one of them goes "are you wearing Chucks? " I said yeah these are my lifting shoes, why? he said well I have never seen an adult wear them before is all....lol, I said been wearing them for about 30 years.
I remember we had these when we were kids cause they were cheap, then in high school, i guess they were in style. for awhile I guess they were out of style cause they were pretty hard to find, but if you did still cheap.
LOL. now they are expensive and I guess cool again.

Everything old is new. When I was a kid, they were called PF Flyers. That was the brand. They had an invisible wedge that made you run faster and jump higher. So the commercials said. And they had a little green rubber PF logo on the heel, as I remember.

I love my chucks. I have been wearing them for 20 years. I usually get shti for wearing them from some "older" shti brain. A guy Friday night at a party said to me, "Aren't you too old to be wearing those." I politely responded, "Aren't you too old to be making comments about what people wear." He was embarrassed.
My wife gets mad at me when I do those things but I always say if someone is going to have teh walnuts to make a rude comment to my face they are going to get one back.

I was happy to see Chucks come back, I just wish they had a retro price tag!

I put my faith in the people, but the people let me down, so I turned the other way I carried on anyhow.

Like Min I always called them PF Flyers. I had never heard the term Chucks before. I had a few pairs myself. Mine were pink and red. The only ones I see that wear them now are the emo and goth kids around here. Omaha is a little slow on the fashion trends :/
