    Based on the way that 285 squat vid looked I wouldn't go more than 245 on squats for a while. You're better off burying 245 for good reps than 285-295 for crappy reps. Focus on strict form and not ego lifts, you'll have better carryover to the field that way.

    I won't go for anything above 245 until around spring break. Our coaches like to keep us in the 8-12 rep range, so the highest I'll go is probably 225x8. By spring break I'll have the form down and the higher reps will have shocked my legs, so I'll go for a new PR in the 295-315 range then.

    Thanks. I only used a 4pt for the first couple of games in the season, I switched to a 3pt after I realized how useless a 4pt is. Next season I'll be using a 3pt the whole time unless I am dropping into pass coverage

    I definitely do not want shoulder injuries haha. I'm finally realizing how important my shoulders and neck are for football, I'm gonna make sure they don't lag behind the rest of my body.

    I'm naturally pretty smart. I don't think I've studied for a test my whole life. I took the SAT in 7th grade and got a 1670/2400. If I go to college on a football scholarship I probably won't have to take the SAT again

    I'm about to go to the school gym for a leg workout. I'm gonna focus on form and keep the weight low and reps high on squats, and then I'll do some Bulgarian split squat dropsets and Romanian deadlifts. My legs are going to be dead

    I got a PR on power cleans, and the squats were ridiculously easy. I had to do the accessory work that the coach had planned out for today. I'm pissed I couldn't do the Bulgarian split squat drop sets I wanted to do, but at least I got to do glute ham raises on an actual machine for the first time. They were much easier than I expected. Overall, this was a pretty good workout.

    Under Armour is putting on their local combine March 26-27th in Southlake. You might be a year early but you may want to do it. Its $99 I think.

    I'm thinking about going. I know I'm definitely going to register for the Nike Combine closest to Dallas once the locations and days are announced (they keep pushing back the release date) and I'll probably go to the National Underclassmen Combine at John Paul II in Plano too, just so I can see who I'm up against in the area. I'm definitely considering the Under Armour combine, have you had any athletes attend before? Did they think it was beneficial?
