Alpha (me) references the animal kingdom where the alpha male is the leader of the pack. someone who acts alpha acts like a dominant leader, gets bishes makes money. The word beta doesn't really make much sense because beta is right underneath alpha in the hierarchy. But beta is used for "pussy" basically.
