Want to know the current theory surrounding how many dimensions there are in our universe, which explains string theory's primary assumption that strings resonate in the 10th dimension? This is a nice walkthrough for the common person to understand:





Will post about the experiment that semi-proved parallel universes if requested. Also have some crazy stuff about a pirate treasure buried in a "trap" that even modern technology cannot penetrate. Also, the mystery point in california, where top physicists, including the infamous "asian guy," cannot explain how the laws of gravity break down.

realize this is over but saw this on Discovery this morning and thought it was really cool, figured some of you guys/gals might as well.

The crow is arguably the smartest animal in the world (aside from humans obviously), some think even more intelligent than the chimpanzee. They are able to problem solve and create tools.

-Crows have been found to use critical thinking in order to break open hard nut-shells. The way they do it is place the nuts in a busy street when traffic is stopped, fly away while traffic starts again and the vehicles drive over the nuts cracking them open, they fly back and get the opened nuts when traffic comes to a stop again.

-Some dude designed a 'peanut-dispenser' that is turned on by loose change being dropped into it. Crows have been trained this way to collect loose change from the street, sidewalks, wherever and bring the change to the machine in order to collect the peanuts.

There were a couple more but this is all I can remember off hand; pretty sweet...

This was on the program: they put a piece of food in a beaker and gave the crow a piece of wire; the crow bent it into a hook to get it out!
