I believe I am putting on muscle at a pleasing rate, also my strength is improving as it is portrayed in my lifts. However, I feel more and more body fat accumulating. Especially around my stomach area and my thighs. I might be over exaggerating, but I feel as though I have gone fron around 15% body fat to around 20% body fat in about two weeks.....is this possible??????
Finally, I am planning on to continue bulking and gaining muscle and strength till around February perhaps. So, after I have hopefully completed my bulk through until February, how many weeks or months will it take to shred 10% body fat without losing muscle strength or size?????? PLEASE HELP ME !! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

In 2 weeks? I don't think so. How much weight have you gained?

Figure out how much weight you're going to want to lose. Plan on losing 1 pound a week. Do the math.

Just throwing out an example. Say you're 200lbs at 20% bodyfat, IE a lean body mass of 160lbs. To reach 10% bodyfat (presuming you keep all lean body mass and only lose bodyfat, in an ideal world) you'd end up with 10% bodyfat at 180lbs. But realistically your bodyfat would be higher, as you'll lose some lean bodyweight with that weight reduction, but you'll lose more weight due to fat loss than muscle loss if you go slowly and continue to weight train. I generally recommend one pound a week due to a 500 daily calorie deficit, combined with consistent weight training, and moderate to high protein intake. It might take 25lbs or a little more in this hypothetical scenario to reach that 10% bodyfat percentage, but it's a process you have to take charge of to make happen.
That said, it won't guarantee you get a six-pack, but if you continue to do weight training while controlling your diet, you can get leaner. Good luck!--- Nick ---

Yes, hence my comment on the deadlifts. In practice I think this is more often used as an excuse for accumulating fat around the middle while bulking up. REALLY strong powerlifters will probably have trouble getting below 32-34'' waist even once they have ripped abs. But for most people, I don't believe their waist measurement can really be expected to increase much due to muscle gain.

Advice
I know this thread is pretty old but I need the same sort of advice since I'm pretty new to this. I'm 16, 5ft 6in 150 pounds and I'd estimate 20-25% BF. Im tired if being overweight and Id like to cut to 10% BF before I start bulking. What is the best way for me to do so. Thank you.
