After finally watching all of Breaking Bad I decided I'd get started on Walking Dead. I watched the first 2 episodes last night and won't bother with another. The writing and acting in this show is terrible. Calling it bad isn't enough. It's pathetic. And the fact that this awful show is so popular is very irritating.

They also had a baby turn into a zombie. Pretty wild. A dog did too. They seem to have characters which has a mirror character in TWD. Like you said, it feels like a cheaper version, but damn TWD, did we really need a mid-season finale, with several months until the next season.
We also like Grimm. If you poke a bear in the eye, expect a bear like response.

TBH, after completing the entire season of ZNation, when I watch (and I am atm) TWD, it appears to be in slow motion by comparison. While the premise of both shows appears to run darn close, the action sequences in Znation move at lightning speed, with some clever parts (imo) which add another layer to the "situations" the group finds themselves in.
I am looking forward to TWD because I hope (and assume) they will step it up a notch. I like the character development in both shows, but if Znation can keep up the pace/intensity (and TWD stays doing what they are doing), they will be (imo) a more fun show to watch.
No hate on TWD, but pound for pound, if one stayed and one left, I would be fine either way, with a slight nod to ZN.If you poke a bear in the eye, expect a bear like response.

Ang was out of town for the premiere so I had to wait until thurs to watch it. First episode I thought was pretty decent. Glad to see Aaron show up at the end of tonight's show though. Means hilltop is coming soon hopefully followed shortly by neagan.

I know, it is all subjective. I don't get upset over the occasional lack of zombie fighting. I have also come to understand that the character development clarifies why the characters engage the zombies in the manner that they do. Last nights episode does a good job of showing how their mental state affects their ability to think and act for "the group," as opposed to only fighting for themselves.
This is just my non-film critic opinion. If folks are tuning in just to see zombies get stabbed in the head, the show is clearly not going to satisfy that for the full 60 minutes each week.If you poke a bear in the eye, expect a bear like response.

Agree 100%. I like both shows, but they are much different in their delivery. I suspect Z Nation will eventually develop their characters as well, as evidenced by the last few episodes. I will be anxious to see how they begin season 2, considering how season 1 ended.
