Right now the weakest link is how much I can fit in this rental house. The stuff you mention would be something I'd think about in a new construction place that I'd hope to do sometime soon. I don't have a budget per se. I'm looking for suggestions on the ultimate machines, people's favorites over the years... cost no object.

The selectorized and plate loaded versions of the Free motion squat are decent. Ther eare lots of these kinds of squat machines around, not sure which people like best. I've tried both versions of this free motion and it is decent.

I've not tried the free motions, but this power squat machines is pretty good;
That one's the York I've used, but of course EliteFTS sells a pimped version;

Ok, will do... There are quite a few places with the Hammer Squat, so should be able to do that. I'll have to look up the Cybex rotary calf when I get a chance.
For seated calf, I pulled the trigger today on the Sorinex seated calf/Tibia as shown above. I hope it is a good piece. See the pictures posted previously.
That doesn't mean I couldn't pick up the Cybex piece or other calf machines like Donkey calf machine or standing calf... The seated calf is a staple in a gym, so I chose the SORINEX one shown above.... Hope I made a good choice cause it was about $1200 shipped.Last edited by HealthNutMD; 10-18-2010 at 10:30 PM.

I don't like the Hammer V Squat because it limits you to one movement (facing forward) due to it only having one set of pads for the shoulders. The power squats allow you to do a hack movement and a front squat. I have the bodymaster version.

I have these two, and although I like both of them, I think the second one comes closer to simulating an actual squat. Just depends on which movement you prefer.

I see that you already ordered the Sorinex. I really believe that you will like it. I am a bit biased, but I think Sorinex's stuff is TOP NOTCH-totally bombproof and innovative at the same time. Their service is also very professional.
My question to you is....did you win the lottery or something??[]---[] Equipment Crew Member #14

Give this guy a call. He can make make whatever you want. He just built something similar to the Hurricane for 1200.00 for a local High School in Iowa. He owns Panther weightlifting equipment,
His number is 6417828143
Don Barnes. You can catch him at about 9 Am Daily.
Hope this is helpful.

Any thoughts on this piece? I guess since I already have an Elite FTS Collegiate 0-90 bench and Elite FTS Collegiate power rack coming. Also have the Hurricane coming. Then I suppose it might be wastefull to get this:

Seems really nice, but suppose things would start getting redundant. Might be convenient though.
Looks like essentially a flat, Incline, and shoulder station all in one: but what makes it cool is it seems to be every bit as good as 3 dedicated stations for each of those 3?

No lottery, just work hard. Also, some people like cars, I'd rather have good equipment, oh, and home theater. You should see the home theater Muahahahaha!!! That is my specialty, especially cost no object subwoofers.
In any case, I think I overturned ever rock... I don't know any other piece of equipment or a manufacturer I missed. I'm going to try and go to trade shows and demos from now on to always try to see what might be the best. Its too bad I can't locate a Nebula Leg Press.... yet. This project is a dream come true... now all I need is a killer house to put all this stuff in with a dedicated 27' x 37' theater room, and a 40' x 50' home gym. Will try to make it happen. The problem is living in Cali currently, cost of housing is terrible.
Did I miss any manufacturer or killer piece of equipment?
