Quinoa is a better mass gainer. It does contain lots of carbs, but it is also one of the few plants with complete protein. It doesn't contain a lot of protein, (8.9g/cup cooked according to calorieking.com), but the protein that is there is of more value.
Everyone has a six pack. Most people just keep theirs covered.

I've only had it a few times. It has a texture more like rice than oats, and is usually cooked in water. I used chicken stock and onions with garlic and pepper. It was a little bland, but not bad. I suppose you could blend it into a shake, but I don't think it would turn out very well.

I prefer amaranth over quinoa.. and I wouldn't quit the oats during the day.
Amaranth's protein is very very high quality and absorbable, and the grain itself isn't much expensive comparing to the quinoa's price, atleast in my country.
I use to add 2 full tbs to my oatmeal every morning, makes the taste richer and my body healthier. All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother.

One thing I like about quinoa is that it keeps well in the fridge for a couple of days..
Usually what I do is make a 3 or 4 cups of it at a time.. I throw a bunch of cinnamon in with it while its boiling for extra flavor... Then when I need it I grab some.. Throw a scoop of vanilla protein in with some frozen blueberries.. So good..
Sure the day that I actually make it I need some time (about 20 minutes or so) but after that it takes under 30 seconds for a meal.
