Ha even Keth posted passing YPA for week 1. The man is fallible! I don't feel so bad now.
Edit: Nothing was said about sacks counting, and thus they won't. I'll recalculate under that assumption.
Edit2: But it also says used in conjuction with number 2. Mind = blown.
Edit3: Clearly I'll prefer the first and Huse will prefer the second (we all know Rodgers will end the year with more sacks) so I'll leave in in kethnaab's impartial hands as to what he meant. Both stats are posted at the top of the page.
Edit4: I'm on not a lot of sleep and a whole lot of caffeine.Last edited by Greg1983; 09-20-2010 at 10:28 AM.

gentlemen, sorry it took so long. I have this on excel spreadsheet
to answer questions -
1) sack yardage counts for overall yards, just as rushing yards count.
2) sacks do NOT count against YPA for the player (it does for offensive team statistics but not for defensive team statistics...go figure!!!) This is the NFL's official statistical 'stance' on it
so the week 2results, everyone can see
here are the "accumulated" stats as they stand right now.
Tom Brady: 45 for 71, 506 P-yards, 63.4%, 5 TD, 2 INT, 1 FL, -9 sk yds, 497 t-yards, 7.13 YPA, 5 t-TDs, 3 t-TO, 1 win
Aaron Rodgers: 38 for 60, 443 p-yards, 63.3%, 4 TD, 2 INT, 29 r-Yds, 1 r-TD, -21 sk yds, 451 t-yards, 7.38 YPA, 5 t-TDs, 2 t-TO, 2 wins
So the sig bet looks like this (Greg/Rodgers = 3, Huse/Brady = 2):
1) Wins = Rodgers 2, Brady 1
2) Total Yardage = Brady 497, Rodgers 451
3) YPA = Rodgers 7.38, Brady 7.13
4) TD-TO = Rodgers +3, Brady +2
5) PR = Brady 96.3, Rodgers 94.0

That's what I assumed when I saw YPA. But this is from the scoring post linked in the OP of this thread.
So that's I guess where the confusion came from. The standard YPA the NFL calculates doesn't include rushing, obviously. But better for me, since even a scrambling stud like Rodgers doesn't get as high a yards/carry as he would yards/passing attempt, so I'm down for not penalizing him for running more.
