RIP Iron Addict
I couldn't believe it either. Totally unexpected so young. I am still shocked.
Prayers go to the family.Distraction is an obstruction for the construction.

Wtf is this? A link to Japanese ********? Future (Shawn) didn't say anything about how he passed away, so don't try and spread rumours if you're not sure about their accuracy. For all we know, that could just be a fake.
Wesley lived one helluva life and gave great advice. This news genuinely saddened me ever since I've heard about, a great man gone.
RIP Wes.
edit - Prayers sent to his family, and others should do likewise. I wish I could have gotten to know how him better than just on the forums...Last edited by Two_Tens; 09-15-2010 at 06:43 AM.

I found that link when Googling to see if it was true if he committed suicide. Be free to go to http://www.********.com/AFSPnational...ational?v=wall and see the main page where shawn posted saying R.I.P

Hrmmm.. You might be onto something.
He was either hiding it very well, or he delved too far into that spirituality stuff and had an epiphany or realization of something he didn't ever want to acknowledge...
Either way, it doesn't matter. Someone on the IA forum said, "It's not important how he died, but rather how he lived his life."☆ ☆ QUEBEC CREW ☆ ☆

WTF..stop speculating what happened.
Respect the families request..He lived a great life, helped tons of people. Even if you didn't train under him, his articles helped a lot of people go in the right direction.
I talked to him the day before he died. Seemed really happy. He told me: "Just do follow my instructions and you will be fine."

I learned of this news yesterday and am still in shock. Wes's site is the only lifting site I even bothered with, and I was on there almost every day for the last 3.5 years. His knowledge really changed the way I approached lifting. He was an extremely smart person and had a lot to contribute on many subjects besides training.
I didn't know him personally, but based on his posts and articles, he seemed like the last person I would ever expect to commit suicide. I didn't want to speculate, but the ******** link posted above is pretty compelling.

Wow thats so surprising and so sad
When I heard I almost cried
As to the reason, I dont want to guess or speculate, but he was a popular guy and meant a lot to a lot of people so its only natural to want to know why - usually the first question you ask when you heard someone died is "what happened", since its such a shock your mind is blank for a while
