I'm still debating it in my head...I was even considering running today. I ran and lifted my heaviest day of the week yesterday and didn't die, so I was thinking "What is one more day gonna hurt?" ....poor reasoning, I know, but, it's incredibly difficult to stay home. Esp during finals when I need to de-stress.

Got cleared to exercise today. My doctor called and said the EKG was a false alarm (likely due to nervousness, i hate going to the doctor). Still had some chest pain while running, but very brief. Hope it's just due to the cold.

Lifting:
One-arm DB row/Incline DB bench press superset (5x8 w/30 sec rest): 40 ea/40 ea
BB curl/Lying triceps extension superset (5x8 w/30 sec rest): 55/55Bench:

Tuesday: 4 mile fartlek run
Lifting (supposed to be on monday, but moved it to Tuesday because I didn't have access to a gym):
BB Bench Press (5x5 w/2 min rest): 120
Lying Triceps Extensions (3x15 w/10 sec rest): 45
BB Incline Press (6x8 w/ 1 min rest): 85
Bodyweight Bench Dips (3xfail w/10 sec rest): 10 reps
-------------------------------------------------------------
Wednesday (today): 6 mile easy run
Lifting:
BB Bent-over Row (5x5 w/2 min rest): 85
BB Curl (3x15 w/10 sec rest): 35
Horizontal Pullups (6x8 w/1 min rest): bodyweight
Reverse-grip BB Curl (3x15 w/10 sec rest): 30
...felt REALLY REALLY REALLY tired after lifting these past two days. Kind of a weak, lightheaded, "I think I'm gonna puke" feeling. Luckily I didn't, but came damn close when I tried to drink my post-workout whey/milk. Not sure if it's just from exertion or not. But I plan on asking the doctor in 2 months when I go for a follow up on the chest pain thing.Last edited by Chubbs387; 12-15-2010 at 09:06 AM.

Monday: 2 mile easy run
Lifting:
BB Bench Press (5x5 w/unlimited rest): 120
Lying Triceps extension (3x15 w/10 sec rest): 40
BB Incline Press (6x8 w/1 min rest): 80

...and on a related note, i'm pretty sure I found out today what is causing the chest pains. When I was running, i felt really short of breath. Kind of like every breath I take, no matter how deep, is still not deep enough. I'm pretty sure it's a mental thing, because if I were really oxygen deprived, I would be getting dizzy/nauseous/etc like runners do in races. So obviously, I really strained to get a deep breath, to the point of expanding my chest as far as it would go, over and over again. As soon as I stopped running, BOOM, chest pain. This leads me to believe that I'm probably aggravating it with the deep breathing, and I really just need to get over that mental thing about "not having enough air"...it happens.Last edited by Chubbs387; 12-20-2010 at 01:13 PM.

Tuesday: 2 mile easy run.
Payed attention to my breathing today. It's been a while since I've actually had to do that. When I was in shape, rhythic breathing was automatic. But today, I monitored my breathing and no chest pains. Hopefully 4 mile fartlek tomorrow.Bench:
