    1-carb brownies! (pic)

The secret ingredient: Eden organic black soy beans. I keep soy products (i.e. soybean oil) to a minimum but I don't have a huge issue with the whole bean eaten in moderation.

1/2 cup serving: 8g carbs, 7g fiber (therefore 1 net carb), 11g protein

Regular canned black beans (same serving size): 17g carbs, 6g fiber (so 11 net carbs), 6g protein

    RECIPE

    Ingredients

-1 (15.5 ounce) can black soy beans
    -3 eggs
-3 tablespoons oil of choice. You need something liquid to help push the beans through the blender; you could try melting butter or coconut oil, but I haven't tried that myself.
    -1/4 cup cocoa powder
    -1 pinch salt
    -1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-3/4 cup sweetener of choice (Splenda for me)
-1 teaspoon instant coffee (optional but recommended to cover up any beany flavor)
-1/2 cup any additions you like in brownies (i.e. walnuts, macadamias, roasted peanuts, cacao nibs, etc) (optional)

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease an 8x8 square baking dish.
    2. Rinse the beans in a wire strainer and shake off the water. They do not have to be completely dry.
    3. Combine the beans, eggs, oil, cocoa powder, salt, vanilla extract, sweetener, and instant coffee in a blender; blend until smooth; pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. If your blender isn't great, I found that it's easiest to add half of the beans, the eggs, and the oil to the blender, blend until smooth, then add everything else and blend some more.
    4. Sprinkle the 1/2 cup addition of choice, if using, over the top of the mixture.
    5. Bake in the preheated oven until the top is dry and the edges start to pull away from the sides of the pan, about 30 minutes.

Each brownie (1/16 recipe) using 0-calorie sweetener:
    65 calories, 5g fat, 3g carbs, 2g fiber (therefore 1g net carbs), 4g protein

They are SUPER moist and fudgy. That's what's great about using the beans instead of, say, coconut flour as the base. This version is fairly low-fat, too; you can always add lots o' butter

I made these, but in a muffin/cupcake bin and they turned out great. Not the same brands and such, but mine turned around 3.5g of carbs and I forget the rest. I wrote it down somewhere here.

It's not dry but does have a pasty feel since it is beans, but taste like chocolate none-the-less. Thanks for a great recipe.

    Used Stevia(w/malto) as a sweetner.

They taste kinda chocolaty - not very sweet (but I did use dark chocolate powder). Not really any bean flavor.

Probably wouldn't make them again just because of the hassle involved, but I think the recipe is pretty cool and they are definitely decent to eat.

The cauliflower pizza is still the best thing I've found on here.

And btw - I used regular, not black soy beans. The brownies were still very brown so I wouldn't worry too much about driving to "Whole Paycheck"

Yeah man sometimes you just gotta make choices. Some guys are happy with a house, car and girlfriend. But if my arugula isn't grass-fed, cage free and sustainably farmed..am I really livin'?

OMG I just had a really good idea.

What if these ere like mint-creamcheese brownies. would that not rock?

On my way to the store right now. I gotta try this.

Edit: Just took em out of the oven - cooling for a couple hours in the fridge.

I probably ate 100 calories worth of batter & cream cheese icing. So delicious

I already figured out the nutritional information as well:

I baked them in an 8x8, so there's 16 2x2 inch square servings

    1 Serving

    13.2g fat
    7.75g protein
3.09 net carbs (There's 2.19g fiber in each brownie!)
    162 calories, 73.3% fat, 19.2% protein, 7.5% carb

Not bad macros really - kind of carb heavy, but I'm usually at 3% carbs anyway so it's no biggie for me

Will post recipe in a bit
