lol @ Zyzz - seems like a cool guy. He messes with the misc for fun and everyone is jealous of his build (including me). Makes me wanna juice.

And I bet I will get a higher tricep bench one I start getting the technique right - do your arms flare out or in close to the body like a military pushup?

    DIET UPDATE:

Didn't eat ice cream But did have to change diet abit today because of lack of chicken

    270 g chicken
    .5 avocado
    6 eggs
    3 cups spinach
    .5 cup green beans
    1 banana
    1 apple
    3 cups of coffe

    WORKOUT UPDATE

Biked 23 miles today... I better get ripped on this damn workout/Diet lol.

The kickboxing was horrible, I have NEVER EVER tried anything so hard before. I was really in extreme pain on some of those intervals. Every time we had the rest, I felt like I was gonna puke. I am the one in best shape on the team, or atleast the guy that tries the most, so I wanted to win the sprints/jacks/pushups things. I puked in my mouth several times and had a hard time gasping for air.
My throat still hurts a few hours after, feels like I am breathing fire (no homo).

    Good workout was good :P

good job on the ice cream.
I do them with my elbows close to my body. I was repping 90 kgs with my index finger touching the inner rings before my cut. Now doing them with a little broader grip because that **** was hard on the wrists.

    Thoughts

Very good workout. Happy about the benching. Surpirsed my strength is going up when I am dieting. Honestly, the dieting isnt too bad. I'm hungry, but I can manage. Lots of carbs it seems though. Had the post-workout meal right after my workout bassicly, so thats fine. Will update pictures next week.

Might take a video of my DL'ing tomorrow so you guys can critque my form - though my lower back is sore from those rows!!

Yeah, I wish I had good genes so I could just plow through food. One of my friends is a ecto and cries over having to eat more than 2000 cals. I could EASILY eat that each meal a few times each day... strength would be insane aswell.

sh*t dude, missed this log. subbed. good luck man, will check in from time to time as best i can. so you're back to 2k cals now? did you take some time to bulk or something, or increase cardio, or what? or just going to 2k cals and saying f*ck the theory, enjoying your lifts going up and fat not being gained, etc?

btw drake7, i saw you post in viktor's other log that you had gained some weight back and lost some strength... what happened? i just took a month off from volunteering in haiti and gained some fat back too but not that much... about 5 lbs or so. are you finding that muscle memory isn't helping you out here? just curious, your results were really inspiring from the misc thread

lost strength while cutting, probably went too low on cals + having my vacations and such made me lose strength and I never was able to get it back. After my cut I gained some fat because I just went loose on the diet and ate what I wanted. It's not awfully much, so it's ok. Took me a long time to get back the strength levels again, can't really explain that.

Nah, eating around 1800 as always. I went to the USA for 1.5 months and ate around 3500 daily, but swam for 2 hours, lifted weight and did HIIT 5 every day (4 workouts every day) and somehow managed to gain fat and not gain strength...

Eating the smae every day. Cardio 3 times a week, lifting 5 times a week and hoping to get cut in around 75 more days.!\

JJust get cut again and enjoy life.

I'm hoping if I reach 9-10% I can stay there for a month or two with strict eating and then perma clean bulk. Never gaining fat but slowly slowly gaining strength and maybe size. Dont ever want to not have abs again if I get them.

    Thoughts

Best workout I've had in a while. Felt and looked big (imo) after wards and my arms were about to explode. Diet was perfect aswell and kickboxing was intense! I better get cut in a few months

    Diet

Had 3 shakes today insted of 2 (one was right after workout) and then I had fish insted of chicken for dinner and no avocado. So almost same calories anyways.
Also had a 2 pieces of candy and 2-4 tbls of ketchup for my rice :/ Not good... Oh well. Cut out the fruit of my diet.

    [b]Workout[

    2. September 2010
    Upper Back/shoulders/traps hypertrophy!/b]

Very good workout today. I wonder why there is a chest/arms day and then straight after its a damn shoulder/back day. My shoulders are sore from benching and my biceps are sore when I need to do back exercises... wtf.jpg

DB Sitting Shoulder Press super setted with DB Front Raises
    70 x 9 - 45 x 8 each arm - PR on both (80 is PR for press but taht was x2 reps)
    70 x 9 - 45 x 8 each arm - PR on both
    70 x 8 - 40 x 10 each arm

Felt pumped as hell here. Shoulders were sore though.

DB One arm Rows super setted with BB Standing Military
    85 x 11 (right arm) 10 (left arm) - 90 x 12
    85 x 11-10 - 90 x 11
    85 x 9-9 - 90x 10

Wide Grip Pulldowns super setted with Shrugs
    220 x 9 - 10 x 260
    220 x 9 - 10 x 260

Close grip Pulldowns- hands faced in super setted with BB shoulder Raise
    250 x 8 - 10 x ???
    250 x 8 - 10 x ???

    30 min beach volly

    16 mile bike ride
Aprox 1 hour cardio all in all.

    Thoughts

Killer workout. Felt REALLY lean and big afterwards, should've brought my cam to take some progress pics. Won't be pumped on Sunday when I take them cause its power day

Anyone know why shoulders/back is after a chest/bicep day??
Also, do you guys think its better to do 12 reps and less weight insted of 8-9 reps with more weight...? Seems like all the pros do more reps and get the pump etc. I mean, these aren't power days, so perhaps I should be using less weight and get 12 reps insted?

    Motivational pic of the day

    Perfect wife

this article seems to have cleared that question up for me long ago--
    http://www.healthcentral.com/diet-ex.../low-reps-reps

For years it was common wisdom to assume that if you lifted weights and wanted to bulk up or get bigger, you would try to lift heavier weights and do fewer repetitions. On the other hand if you wanted better definition or "cuts," that is to be able to discern the various curves, folds, ripples and relationships between your muscles, it was better to do lighter weight and more repetitions with a given weight lifting exercise. Later, that myth was partially dispelled and the feeling was that doing somewhere between 8-12 repetitions, with the last one or two being very challenging, was the best way to both build muscle bulk and help define muscle structure.
