The intentions of this thread are to discuss COD:Black OPs and to prevent multiple threads discussing the same game.

If you want to kill some bitches with the MISC brahs, make sure to post with your gamertag and system. There are already crews from MW2 on both consoles. It would be more efficient to add someone with their gamertag in their signature, make sure to add a message indicating that you are a MISC brah.

Feel free to post anything you want regarding the game including secrets, rumors, game strategy, map hiding spots, videos, tips and tricks; but not limited to the occasional big ass/sideboob pic/video.

Single Player


The follow up to the Best Selling Game of All Time, Call of Duty: Black Ops is an entertainment experience that will take you to conflicts across the globe, as elite Black Ops forces fight in the deniable operations and secret wars that occurred under the veil of the Cold War












Multiplayer

Rumored:
Vehicles will return to Multiplayer
Matchmaking engine has changed so friends can easily play together
Create-a-Class 2.0 will allow players to customize appearance
Customized killstreaks return, without tactical nuke
Kills earned from killstreak rewards will not count towards the player's killstreak
Commando and One Man Army perks have been discontinued
An SR-71 Blackbird will replace the AC-130 as a killstreak reward
Shotguns and machine pistols will be categorized as primary weapons
In-game host migration will return
Zombies mode will return, with four-player co-op, online and locally
Barebones playlist returns, in which perks and killstreaks are disabled
Enemy AI in Campaign and Co-op is now smarter
DLC will be produced by Raven Software, instead of Treyarch
Maximum number of players in a party has been increased to 24
MW2's callsigns with titles and emblems will return
The Swarovski Scope can only be used with the Steyr AUG

My prediction would be 5.4 million in the first 24 hours.

Cant wait to start from the beginning and actually start paying attention from the start instead of going through 3 prestiges before realizing my KD was 0.58 or something stupid.

Game looks sick, if they can fix even 3 or 4 broken aspects from MW2 I will never put it down.

There is a pretty good chance Halo: Reach won't break those numbers, and it is going to be the best selling game this fall. Plus when you add in how many people were disappointed with MW2, and MOH coming out, I see this game vastly underselling, just like World At War did.

On another note.

You may possibly not realize it, but there’s a lot of hot info about Call of Duty Black Ops hiding on their official forums. One of Treyarch’s developers, Vahn, who is the Multiplayer Design Director, has posted numerous tidbits in a thread on killstreak rewards – even though some of this represents personal opinion, some of what he has to say may effectively represent the new turns that their game is beginning to take.

The whole point of the message is that Treyarch does listen to their community and study all the suggestions that they receieve. It seems we can expect to see a very much, much more rounded online game than MW2, as a large number of people from the boards have expressed most of the problems that Modern Warfare 2 had faced.

And now after reading all of his posts, we have figured the following out…

* They have tried custom killstreaks for every class, and that seemed to complicate the ‘purity and speed’ of Create a Class.

* Consequently, it’s pretty fair to assume that customizable killstreaks are all but confirmed.

* At this stage in development, killstreaks will stack on top of each other and carry over in case you die, but don’t contribute to the further killstreaks (therefore it will probably eliminate the ‘camping for killstreaks’ trouble of Contemporary Warfare two).

* The Treyarch team aren’t fans of the Commando perk, which is the extended melee range perk in Modern Warfare 2, and so it is unlikely to return.

* They’ve tried a ‘manned’ version in the Sentry Gun killstreak, but it did not turn out well.

* We may possibly see a return to pistols as the only sidearm, or maybe even a choice between pistols and grenade launchers. Vahn and many others of the team aren’t big fans of shotguns and machine pistols as secondary weapons – it gives a player ‘way too much firepower’.

* The knife may effectively become a secondary weapon – even though Vahn didn’t say too much.

* Finally, don’t anticipate the nuke to return as a killstreak. Vahn says they usually are not fans of a game-ending killstreak award.

As we can see, this game is going to be great. New kill streak upgrades, new gun upgrades, new guns, and much more!

After going through that list, please post how you feel about Call of Duty Black Ops in the comments, we would love to hear your thoughts and ideas about the direction this game is taking.
