What a good game. I was a nervous wreck, but although GT run game was great, as advertised...the defense bent by didn't break. Although the 10-15 yard run on every first down was getting old.
Jameis, well we need to give him props. He played great. I was getting really tired of the camera and broadcast zooming in on him and Jimbo saying "let me coach, I'm the coach" and catching the audio on camera. They sure as heck weren't doing the same on the GT sideline. In my mind it just goes to support the witch hunt which has become Jameis.
I'm proud of my Seminoles boys.
They earned that ACC Championship.
And I'll be honest, I was up half the night. A) I was still amp'd from the game, and B) I was nervous about the final playoff rankings. Although everyone was saying Oregon, Bama, and FSU were locks, I needed to see it.
And to be fair, I'm happy we're playing Oregon instead of Bama in the playoffs. We've never played Oregon, their team is built on speed and not physical play like Bama, and...I think it'll be a good game. With our bumps and bruises (Goldman going down was huge in my opinion) we need a team to play BEFORE bama, that won't bring the physical play in my mind.
If we're the best team, we should beat Oregon. If not, we won't and don't deserve to. We're the only team travel so far for the playoff game, but hey...it may work to our advantage. Maybe the kids can focus on only football that week.
I think it'll be a high scoring game, with FSU needing some turnovers.
I'm planning to have a BBQ, or fly out to the game (I haven't decided yet). On a sadder note: Last year my entire family flew out to Pasadena for the Rose Bowl (Championship Game). I decided to stay in Florida. The following day my grandmother passed away (bitter sweet day). But being the only one who stayed, I was able to get think arranged quicker. Meaning I think there was a bit of destiny there. I was considering going to the Rose Bowl this time, to make up for it. But...if we beat Oregon, I may spring for a National Title Game ticket instead.
Are you all stoked? I'm predicting a high scoring game with us coming out on top! Go Noles!★I SUPPORT THE MEN AND WOMEN OF THE U.S. MILITARY★

Winston's attorney reports that Winston has been cleared of all charges and allegations. Perhaps now we can focus on football?
My early prediction (especially with Oregon's best DB going down with season ending injury...) is:
FSU 48 - Oregon 42
Yes high scoring, but both teams are very talented. FSU will come out ready to ball.★I SUPPORT THE MEN AND WOMEN OF THE U.S. MILITARY★

Occasionally I'll go on to read, I've never posted however.
Honestly, I don't have very much free time these days, and when I do, I'll drop a note on here.
Plus, in my experience, sites like ESPN and others, turn into arguments and debates whenever you attempt to make any post. It's like you can be a fan, only a defendant for your team.★I SUPPORT THE MEN AND WOMEN OF THE U.S. MILITARY★

These days I barely have time to log my workouts (usually at least once a week though). But heck, it's football season and I'm excited. So had to get this thread back going. Let's enjoy some football.
Welcome.
Agree, but I thought he'd throw more then he actually did. The announcer was saying that his arm was stronger than he thought it was, but the running game was definitely working...so they didn't throw as much as we're used to with Jameis. However, against stronger run defenses, we'll have to pass. That'll be the first real test.
Cook did look good, but felt like he was practicing against a JV team out there. Wondering how he's going to hold up through the season. Some other good backup RBs too though...
Yeah agreed.
Feeling the same way. I want to really see him get challenged and see if he can make some pinpoint accurate throws into good coverage. Even with some wide open receivers last weekend, I saw him throw behind the receiver and the receiver made the adjustment for the catch. Strong defenders pick those off.
Anyone going to the NC State game on Nov 14th? Just purchased a couple tickets to head up.
One more thought...our schedule looks pretty easy this year. So, I mean can't ask for much more help than that. Miami, UF, and yes - even USF games are in state rivalry games, so we'll have to throw out records in those games. Let's not forget that my alma mater (didn't finish at FSU) was USF. And a few years ago, they got the surprise win against FSU. So can never sleep on an in state rivalry game.★I SUPPORT THE MEN AND WOMEN OF THE U.S. MILITARY★

welp I knew a loss was coming eventually just figured it would be at clemson, not to a 2-5 team let alone on fg block for a td. Offense has been so poor lately hard to expect much the rest of the season. What evs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
