Tanning overload here....I can't decide what to use. I always used Pro Tan but people are saying Dream Tan but the "slap" application is intimidating. I was told it was "touchy" and I could end up applying it all wrong so can you provide your two cents here?? What do you like and pros and cons. TIA!! I'm 3 weeks out so I'm excited.

I was really nervous about applying dream tan for my buddies first show last month...thought I would eff it up for sure lol. Turns out there's really nothing to it. Treat it like waxing a car. Smear on a small area, slap it in HARD, then move on to the next. Let it 'set' then cover up. Touch up the morning of the show (also slapping). Done and done.

So you did only two coats?? I thought 3 to 4 is deal. How much time did it take to apply? Does it dry nicely the next day or does it continually get on everything? I'm thinking of the Saturday morning rush, apply the tan and hope it dries in time to get dressed for the drive. Could I perhaps get a spray tan the day before?? Why? I have a baby that I need to hold (I don't want to get it on her) so purely from a time stand-point of applying then waiting to dry would be difficult if the baby needed something. Maybe Pro Tan would be better because of this issue?? Bottom line is I'm strapped for time so I need a tanner that both is applied quick and dries quickly. Thanks!

we did 1 coat pro tan thurs night. 1 thick coat dream tan fri night. then touch ups, face, hands and feet right before stage. it took about 30-45 minutes to do the initial coat friday night and about 10 minutes to touch up back stage. not very much rubbed off actually.
tbh, I don't think pro tan is ever enough. even 7+ coats typically looks fairly light on stage, and it takes FOREVER to apply.
if you leave your hands un-dreamtanned and wear a long sleeve t-shirt you shouldn't have any problem handling your baby. just make sure you've got someone trust worthy back stage w/ you to touch you up and get your face, hands and feet.

I did something pretty similar to this. Had 2 coats of pro tan sprayed on Friday and did the dream tan a couple hours before the show Saturday morning with touch ups backstage. The long sleeved shirt will help for sure with the baby. I actually found the pro tan seemed to "run" more then the dream tan. Another tip is to use vaseline on your nails if you're getting sprayed..will protect them.

It's OCB. I didn't think there would be a problem with the org, maybe I should ask them. I didn't see anything on their competition requirements/information sheet. I think I remember NANBF won't allow Dream Tan, that's the last org that I competed in but I remember they actually printed that on the information sheet.
