You can always buy some longer bolts and extra washers to space out the rear p/u bar and keep things square.

I wonder if Rogue would do that. It's the flat foot so it's taller then a regular rack. I know black widow will make me a plate storage for the back.

Drop them an email and see what they say. The R-6 doesn't have to be bolted down as far as I know, but it does have a different set up at/around the feet than the flat foot R3 so might not work.

im a little worried that the bar hooks will fail under the loads I am using. at over 1/4 inch thick and 7 1/2 lbs each, im just not sure.
Sorry to bump an old thread. Have you ever found a good, affordable source for replacement hooks for this model of rack. 3" wide X 2" deep seems to be a little unusual.

Another option so they dont have to make you a custom length upright is see if mech can make you two longer 2x3 floor post so all six post sit on top of it. That what I'm planing to do when I eventually build my garage is is get two longer 2x3 floor post an extra set of 90" uprights and four triangle plates and use my 30" crossmembers up top between the front and rear uprights and my 13.5" crossmember between the rear upright and storage upright.

That's definitely one of the best looking BodySolid racks I've seen. I like the Westside spacing in the bench area. That's one thing I wish my Rogue Fortis rack had.

Save on marketing to get a lower price for the consumer. But bad marketing aside, should I even consider this, or just keep waiting?

Like what Dynamic does with their Titan (no relation) and Gladiator racks? It doubles as the base for the plate storage uprights.

Hanging around to offer product support and answer questions is one thing. Using the forum for the sole purpose of free advertising and/or blatant spamming is something else entirely. It's also entirely possible that BB.com requires approval before anyone can run contests, raffles, drawings, etc.

I honestly don't care enough to search for the answer.

I honestly don't care enough to search for the answer.
The silly thing is that they could have just done the giveaway raffle on their website and sent out an email to their mailing list. It would have ended up posted here in short order anyway, and probably without violating any forum rules or getting all of their helpful posts nuked with everything else. Oh well.

I did see that one. It looks pretty nice for the money, especially with the swing-in safeties. Seems like they should have offset the lower crossmember a little more though. I know that it's thin and that you could just lift off of the other side, but why put it flush with the uprights?

That wasn't the issue as it was done here last year. The mods probably took issue with the manner in which he was posting.

For the looks of it, with all the holes you could get some bolts and move it anywhere you wanted on the bottom rails.

It's a bad, not to mention lazy, design. All Dynamic's Gladiator and Titan lines use the same 2x3 or 3x3 bases regardless of whether you get plate storage. You could argue it makes it easier to add storage later as you won't have to swap out the base, but what if you just want an ordinary 4-post rack? You're stuck with a giant base that does nothing but eat up floor real estate. Their gladiator/titan 4-post racks are 79" deep. That's 2.5 feet longer than Rogue's comparable RML-390F, and 1.5 feet longer than a Legend Performance rack with plate storage.

I'm not sure why anyone would actually want a rack like this. Unless you live close to DF headquarters and can get a really good deal, you're better off going with a competitor. Their racks with storage, on the other hand, look good.

I'm guessing it's because that's where the existing bolts are.

I like the swing-in safeties, but doesn't the SPR1000 seem a bit spendy for what is presumably a Chinese rack? Can get a Rogue RML-390F with straps for less.

because if you want a four post rack that doesn't need to be bolted down you want a lower rear cross-member to prevent the rack from splaying. If it's not offset it can get in the way.

This is true. I got the optional stabilizer (lower rear crossbeam) on my 4 post Rogue so I wouldn't have to bolt it down, and it does get in the way. It blocks benches from sliding as deep into the rack as I would like. My adjustable bench with the feet by the head side (lol) that stick way out, no way you can get it far enough into the rack to use it as a flat bench because that lower rear cross member blocks it (it's directly between the uprights)

Agreed - you could pick up 4 more bolts and some washers to replace the thickness of the gussets, but it's something that they could have done from the get-go.

All of my previous dealings with Dynamic suggest to me that they don't really do "small". Their target market isn't really space-conscious people with home gyms, though.

I understand having a lower cross member--I'm questioning the decision to add an extra 2.5 feet of depth because DF uses the same base regardless of whether you have plate storage.

I agree. They definitely cater to commercial customers, although even then I think their 3x3 Titan line is bigger than it needs to be.

They offer two 80" tall 2x3 racks that are targeted at the homeowner, but I doubt they sell many units. They've been pushing the Westside stuff a lot recently, and given the retail price on those units, I can see why.

I wish mine was offset that much, I only have a few inches but I think it would be nice to have that much room. Besides, if they offer weight storage than yea, keep a universal base - fewer components for inventory.
