As I understand it, prohormones are chemicals that convert to steroids in your body. Steroids are already active before you swallow/inject them.

Steroids are illegal without a prescription. Some but not all prohormones are illegal

PH- Converts to target compound
DS- Already active steroid(some legal, some not)
AAS- RX or Black market drugs- I.E. Test, Winny, Anadrol, etc.

Certain steroids are illegal but dozens more are still sold OTC as dietary supplements. Every steroid you see people running on here is legal.

"Pro-hormones" is a nice term the industry created. In some cases it's accurate but it's really a moving target. You could say cholesterol is a precursor to testosterone. Loosely speaking, Cholesterol>Pregnenolone>DHEA>Androstenedione>Andr ostenediol>Testosterone.

Some convert to target hormones which are legal/illegal, some are active in their own right and some are intrinsically active on their own. What was legal yesterday (4AD) is now schedule III.

What you buy at GNC today could be ruled as illegal by the genius' in Congress and black market tomorrow.

the original prohormones were actually prohormones, and the name has stuck to mean 'legal roids' The only difference is PHs and DS are legal, while AAS are not (BOLD, Phera, and Tren are all now illegal AAS)

Most orals are harsher. I am no expert in chem so I can't go into detail with the positioning of the methyl's and so forth.

Test boosters naturally increase test where steroids will eventually shut you down over time, the doses are obviously higher than what a Dr. would prescribe. Some believe that test boosters don't boost your levels high enough to make changes in with your body composition.

Others could go into more detail, this is a dumbed down version.
