I will not utter the M word but I giggled a bit when I read it lol.
I think going down to 155lbs wouldn't hurt, just to see what you're working with. It's not like you can't go back into epic bulk mode and gain it back
Hopefully next year Auntie Ham can have a few days to relax, eat and lift without having crazy work stuff interfere. Do you have an employee that you can trust to run things for your hamcation, or maybe have one that can be groomed for it?Last edited by Echo814; 12-29-2012 at 10:45 AM. Heehee, tanks for clarification on my potato debacle.
Oh the lulzy-est stuff is always created by accident, well alcohol really.
MEATY... YESSSSS!!!!
LOL
Nooooo! Sorry J-Dog, if it helps at all your lifts are freaking crazy, 160 or not. Don't worry, if my lifts ever start to creep up on yours THEN it's time to worry haha.
Going for 155, will be the lightest I've ever been since starting lifting (when I started I did food wrong and dropped to 145, crazy I know.) Next year as in 2013? You bet your ass I'm gonna do that! As for completely putting that in someone else's hands No, srs. There have been a couple occassions where I've taken one measly day off and told everyone call X if you need something and I ALWAYS get some weird issue I'm called about anyways just because. And they're like yeah we know we're not supposed to bother you butttt.... I'm going to The Arnold this year, would love to take that Thurs/Fri off, and intend to as long as I am fully staffed. Would love to stay home this Mon (NY Eve) but I have a newer person who just started so it feels wrong to not be around just in case.
Oh lawd, and now it begins.
Ohhh no ya don't, we're not throwing more girly nicknames in there, haha. Thank you for the compliment!

BENCH PRESS DAY
SUPPS:
PRE: Maniac 2 scoops
INTRA: RecoverPro 2 scoops
POST: ON Protein 2 scoops, Con-Cret 2 scoops
LOACTION - Home gym
***Lats and core are FRIED from Back Day, probably should've waited another day to do bp but really wanted to lift today and everything besides chest still has DOMS lol***
WARMUP:
-Cuban Press
-Arm circles
*note arm circles are also done between each set
CHEST:
DB Flat Bench Press for warmup:
35s x 20
45s x 15
BB Flat Bench Press:
45x15
75x10
105x8
120x8
135x8
150x6*Rep PR!
145X4 lats and core just too painful to continue
150x6 (intentionally brought it down to safties to end set, lats felt too iffy to try and rack that)
^^^Left that part in for all these people who b!tch about "zomg I can't bench without a spotter cause I'm a complete p@ssy and scared to fail a rep," just farking do it!!!
TRI:
CGBP:
*used wrist wraps due to poor wrist flexibility
75x20
95x15
115x10
105x12
115 set
RC Work:
Standing Y/T/Ls with 5 sec hold: 5s for 12, 12, 12 x 2sets
Int. Band Rotations (Red): 2x12 holy freaking lat soreness OWW!
Ext. Band Rotations (Red): 2x15
So I have lat DOMS and some kind of weird rib cage DOMS. That Back/Biceps Day really got me good (haven't done most of those exercises for 6ish weeks as I haven't had time to go to that gym.) Hopefully I worked my chest sufficiently, wasn't able to do a lot, and I know I can do a lot better than that 150x6 with the newer rep scheme I have in place, everything was just extremely sore. I'm thinking maybe HS Rows made the rib area sore, or pullups? And then my quad DOMS is kicking in more today so the leg drive on my bp was a struggle too. Ah see this is what happens when you go from lifting once a week back to every other day haha. I'll probably take tomorrow off since I just did back and chest, can't really DL yet with my core so sore, I'm thinking I'll do a full on Leg Day Monday at LTF. Haven't done one of those in a lonnng time, so be prepared to hear me whining about how much my hams, quads, glutes, and calves hurt after that lol! Hopefully I'll be ok after hitting up everything one time and recovering from horrible DOMS on every muscle imaginable. I ate over 4kcals yesterday too! Apparently that did not help at all lol.Last edited by thehobbes; 12-29-2012 at 05:47 PM.

Annnnd back to calorie tracking! Hit maintanance today just to get back on track, will drop back to 2500-2600 if needed in a bit. Here's da foodz for today:
-oatmeal
-raspberries
-protein bar
-chicken breast 200g
-carrots 250g
-broccoli 100g
-potatos in olive oil 500g
-orange juice
-protein shake
-apple
-5 deviled eggs (made em with dat low fat mayo, awesome macros on these things srs)
-almond butter
-2 toast
-glucosamine, creatine, calcium, multi
TOTALS:
Cals 3081
Pro 169
BOOM! Delicious foods all day. So here's my confuzzlement people. Been trying to go for overall healthy foods lately, I feel a hell of a lot better and it's very easy to hit my macros with this stuff, sure I'll have a treat every now and then but I generally don't have that kind of stuff around or even crave it. Anyways, hit 110g of fat. Most of it is coming from olive oil, almond butter, and eggs so very low saturated fat in general. This is the correct way to go if you're going to have higher numbers than "normal people" right? Just like with carbs, if you have to jack em up higher don't do it with a crapload of sugar, try to get dem complex carbs instead. Not concerned about weight loss/gain, just general health, wanna make sure imdoinitright.jpg And obviously if I tried to do the recommended 2kcals a day I would die of starvation srs, I guess it's just these damn food labels with the percentages throwing me off. I'm not sure what idiot came up with the whole 2k a day thing, do they even logic?!
But yes, please critique diet for general health (again not a single fuk given about weight loss/gain, that's all simple math, I can adjust that as needed.)Current PRs:
Bench Press: 200x1
Deads: 315x1
Back Squats: 275x1

I'm a believer in plenty (within your total caloric goal of course) of good fats: EVOO, nuts, eggs, pastured butter, coconut oil, avocado. That's where most of mine come from. I also eat for health, with a few treats for sanity. But health is numero uno! Minimal sugar, "good" fats, proteins, complex carbs (mostly sweet potato, quinoa, oats, veggies, and small amounts of fruit). We eat this way all the time just in different amounts depending on building or cutting. Hubs likes to eat that way too so it makes it easy. Now if I could just get him to lift...

you eat good stuff. i think tina might know about fats and nutrition. i know that nutritionists argue lots about it, but everyone agrees that trans fats are bad and more omega 3's are needed. MUFA's with good 3:6:9 ratios are favored by most.

Holy benching Mammie!
Can honestly say I've never seen anyone bench in the power racks. Can't say I'd even think to do it because, well, there are all those flat benches over there to, well, bench on lol. I have declined in the power rack because someone was on the ONE decline bench. My mind is a weird weird place.

Yeah, those nutrition labels can throw you off. Have you noticed the protein percentages. I had something last week and on the label it had 25 grams of protein and that was supposedly 50% of my daily intake. HAHAHAHAHA.

And I frequently eat that much fat in one day and I am smaller than you. I like butter. I am 50 years old and it has not adversely affected my health yet, so you're probably good.
