lol you're crazy. My sister has one, I have a Dell. Her Macbook is terrible for the price. Anyone who tries to justify it is doing it because they think it's a status symbol. It isn't a practical laptop or desktop to get. I think all Apple products are pretty subpar. The only thing keeping them afloat is morons like you who try and brag. BRB wearing Dior sunglasses and trying to make people jealous. STFU *******.

People like OP are ballin' because they have a disregard for money and think that paying twice the price for a computer is worth it because it's Apple.

I own a Macbook and I prefer Mac to a PC. I am doing a PhD in CS so I know what I am talking about. I use a PC running Linux Debian for my work , a Window Desktop at home for gaming and the Macbook to carry around and I also have WinXP install on the Macbook.
"Better" specs ( processor, RAM , etc ) does not equal better performance. The macbook will boot , runs most programs faster than a better specs laptop running Windows. Compare a Macbook to a similar price Vaio running Window, the Mac will give you better user experience IMO e.g better GUI , smoother controls, crashes less, more stable, better security ( inb4 it's because hackers dont target Macs coz noone use them, whatever it is safer that's all I care ).
Mac have good batteries , brighter screens, and very good design overall. People just unaware and afraid to learn new stuffs, all the people I know who own a Mac prefer it to PC. If you can't afford a MAC well tough but if you can, it's seriously a good choice.

Yeah I pretty much completely agree with you. I've had a gateway laptop and a macbook pro with similar specs and the macbook boots faster, has way better battery life, and pretty much runs everything faster because it's not bloated with unnecessary garbage. The track pad on the macbook is better than any track pad I've ever used on a laptop, the screen is pretty high quality, it's lighter weight than most other laptops, and the aluminum unibody is pretty solid. Not saying everything is perfect about macs though, there's still some programs I find annoying like iPhoto.
You can't really argue with dumbass 16 and 17 year olds though because they really don't know much about computers at all and the only thing they look at is big numbers, BUT IT HAS A FASTER PROCESSOR AND MORE RAM, IT MUST BE BETTER.
I probably wouldn't buy an iMac though, I'd just build my own PC, but when it comes to laptops the macbook pros are pretty good.
