I wanted to share my opinion of a food scale I recently purchased from Bed Bath & Beyond. Before this I have been using an old Weight Watchers scale for the past 4 years but its seen better days.
Oxo Good Grips Food Scale features:
* Digital display output
* 11-pound capacity
* Display pulls away from scale to prevent shadowing
* Backlight for display
* Zero function, for zeroing scale before adding additional ingredients
* 1/8 (oz) or 1-gram increments
* Removable stainless steel plate for cleaning
So far I'm very pleased with this scales functions and durability. I enjoy the high weight capacity, I have come close to maxing it out several times when baking. It is extremely accurate especially when using the gram function, like when I add flax seed to my cereal or whey protein to oatmeal. The only two gripes I have with this scale is the price, which I think could be dropped about $10. Also it would be great if there was an option for decimal readings, such as instead of 1 1/2 pounds I could also see 1.50 pounds. Aside from that its flawless, I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a food scale.
FYI, I know you can find scales much cheaper but BB&B is right next to my house and my fiancee and I are always shopping there so it was most convenient to purchase a scale from there.
