Daily Fish Oil Intake

Interested in feedback on the amount of daily fish oil you take.

The caps I have are 1 cap = Total Omega (with EPA + DHA) 300mg

I am figuring about 10 of these per day sound about right?

yup, that is a good range

depends on your intake of fatty fish ( tuna, marckeral, salmon etc) if you take in about 4 to 6 meals containing fatty fish than you can take around a gram or so but if you take in less I would get in 3 to 5 grams per day.

Hope you are not using the 300mg caps or I guess you would be taking about 20 caps per day???

It really depends on your diet. Someone on the Internet who absolutely knows nothing about you won't be able to tell the exact amount that you should be using. Take the information you read on here with a grain of salt.

It really depends on your diet. Someone on the Internet who absolutely knows nothing about you won't be able to tell the exact amount that you should be using. Take the information you read on here with a grain of salt.

Yeah that's what I take. I take three a day which gives me 3g of total Omega 3s(with 1.2g EPA, .6g DHA, 1.2 mixed fatty acids). On top of that I eat two cans of tuna a day which I know don't have a really high level of Omega 3s but I still think I'm getting enough.

Switch some of that tuna out for other fish. Tuna has a lot of mercury in it.

I have found the Kirkland Signature Fish Oil to be very effective and an EXCELLENT value.

10 sounds right. You should take less depending on your diet of course.

Megadosing fish oil can be risky. Do you guys talking a ****-ton of fish oil caps realize that too much EPA and DHA will suppress biomarkers of immune response? Do you guys realize that too much fish oil supps will increase bleeding time and oxidative damage? There is research showing that using a dose of 720 mg fish oil (4 grams fat - contained in 9 capsules - per day) had negative effects on immunity.
