"Im walking about 285 right now?"
"I dont think any man could take one of my punches if it hits right."
"Heh heh. A knockout. I dont know which round, but a knockout. I hope its a bit of a war."
"That would be nice. I could stop answering all these questions about later rounds and my cardio."
"Yeah, you know, I train at 6,000 feet and that I think makes it a big factor for any fight."
"You know I could see it taking place both spots but I would love for him to try to stand and trade with me."

It's funny to me when people start questioning his gas tank...no, we really haven't seen him go into a long fight, but unless he's just dicking around with his conditioning....doing it at 6K feet has GOT to help a brutha out...lol."Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard"

If you refer to a fighter who you've never met in real life as "my boy" as though their performance somehow reflects well on you for simply being a fan, you're a lame ass.

In a fight between two gigantic heavyweights, I've got to to with the guy who has the tools to end it quickly, that being Carwin.
I just don't think Brock has any reliable means of winning besides dragging out a decision. In 1945, Adolf Hilter died and went to Hell. Satan asked, "why are you in Hell?" He replied, "I am responsible for the massacre of millions" Satan said, "well done, sit to the right of my throne." In 1953, Joseph Stalin died and went to Hell. Satan asked, "why are you in Hell?" He replied "I killed millions to stay in power" Satan said "good, sit to my left" 2010, Ronnie James Dio died and went to Hell, Satan asked, "why are you in Hell?" Dio replied, "Bitch, get the fuk off my throne!"

I have a couple of questions:
i.) How does dropping a significant amount of weight (10-50lbs) before a fight effect the fighter's cardio, strength, etc.?
ii.) Wasn't Shane Carwin in the original UFC's? I was just watching them with a buddy (the one's with Royce Gracie winning) and I saw Shayne Carwin fight. That would make him a vet right?

He got taken down by Napo Gonzaga. And it looked like he failed on more than one occasion while trying to take Mir down (Although he later claimed his gameplan was to keep him up against the cage).
Brock has better technical striking and GnP... only way I see Carwin capitalizing is with his raw KO power or by gassing Brock. If Brock were fighting consistently, I would probably favor him.

Yes, but he can still gas out weather it be nerves, mental conditioning, or the pace of the fight.
BJ Penn did all that high altitude training **** against GSP, sleeping in that tent that supposed to mimic high elevation to increase your blood count... and guess what? he still got winded.美國海軍陸戰隊 E5, USMC 06'-14'

Brock Lesnar will win in my estimation.
I dont think any man can take what Lesnar brings to the ring.
Never believe that anyone is impervious to a knockout.
Ask the cali kid.
We all know that anyone is capable of winning (Serra vs GSP #1).
Could happen once every million fights and just so happened on #1.

I'm looking forward to this...Its like 2 caged Grizzly bears going head to head. I'm rooting for Carwin but think Lesnar's main goal will be to suppress his hand attack and he has what it takes to do so. Either way I expect some interesting moments.

Don't think I said it would be impossible for him to gas out. Just that in spite of none of his fights showing what kind of conditioning Carwin has, considering he lives/trains at that altitude the majority of the time (as opposed to training just before a fight), that would make me want to give him credit for having some wind as opposed to SO many people who just write him off automatically."Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard"

It is 50/50 in my mind. Everyone doesn't give Brock enough credit for his hands and that is a mistake.

I can concede all of these points.
We could speculate a gazillion reason for either one to lose.
I prefer to pick the fight winner based on both being at the top of their game in this fight.
I thinK Lesnar will come out on top.
Could either get caught with KO punch?
Again, anyone can.
My gut says Lesnar.
Lesnar could lose for any gazillion reasons so could shane.
Got to go with my gut on it. (I might add that its a rather sizeable gut too)The urge to save humanity is almost always only a false-face for the urge to rule it. [H.L. Mencken]
