    Tabata After Weights?

I am seeing if it's possible to to the tabata workout (similiar to hiit) after a weight session?

I am doing chest/tris tomorrow and was going to try this instead of slower pace cardio for 30mins.

I am doing the beginner taba which only has 2 intervals, then slowly moving up to the regular tabata of 8 intervals.

I will be doing this on an elliptical or bike.

Sorry, I should have provided more information.

I have only read how to do tabata, not much more info around. My overall goal is fatloss, and I was looking to replace my cardio with this.

Should I just be doing this on my non lifting days?

Well seeing as you dont sound very overweight I would recommend keeping it to your off days or something like that. TABATA is pretty intense if you do it right lol. If fatloss is your goal, your diet will play a much larger role than anything. You can kill yourself in the gym for an hour or just not eat a few slices of pizza lol.... same thing as far as fat loss is concerned (I've lost over 100 pounds trust me on this one, exercise is not as effective as people think for losing weight... its all about diet)

I have gone down from 210 to 185 just from diet alone, it was all about conting calories daily, getting enough protein, and watching what I ate.

I have been at 185 for the last few months, and I am hoping with the addition of weight lifting and cardio I can drop my BF% down even more.

I think I will leave Tabata to my off days, and just keep my focus on my diet.

I decided to do laps today, then I did my first Tabata workout, and man did it kill me, I could barely breath after I was done. I only did 2 intervals today too.
