Ok bad news brahs. I'm a disgrace. I don't know what happened... Here were the sets:
Warmed up with some snatches with the empty barbell
Deadlifts
1x5x135
1x5x225
1x1x315
1x1x405 <--Easy but I still felt I needed another set before the big one. Belt and chalk from this point on.
1x1x455 <--Much easier than last time but still a small bit of struggle. Felt like I had another 40 lbs in me...
1x0x495 <--Came off the floor a few inches but then I got stuck. I was f*cking pissed so this happened:
1x8x405 <--Touch n go. Could've gotten 9 or 10 but form was slipping. That's a PR but I'm still pissed...

Congrats, acm. You really pulled it, man. Now everyone won't call you a puss like they're sure to call me.
EDIT - Apparently either my camera or my cameraman is retarded because I just tried to upload the video (of the 405x8) and it says there is no video... Now I'm even more ****in pissed.Planted like a tree beside the river of truth.

well boys it appears that without straps, gloves, or chalk i drop off drastically.
225x10
315x4
335x3
225x8
getting there though. this challenge of ours has brought to my attention my drop in grip strength. working on that now though so watch outYou would be surprised just how much time I have to waste.

no chalk right now. i think i will get a chalk sock soon. my gym doesnt allow loose chalk. besides today i just wanted to see where i was at as far as the grip was concerned. this is only exercise i lift on that is heavy enough to strain my grip everything else is less than 300 pounds lol.
You would be surprised just how much time I have to waste.

Always sucks to miss a lift, but if you can do 405x8, 495 is right around the corner for you. Oh, and be careful with those high rep, heavy sets. Those are when form starts to deteriorate and injuries happen. I'll do 8-12 rep deads but really light weight. I don't go over 3 reps on the heavy stuff. Just not worth the risk. But Im unbelted, so I have to be even more careful.
Yeahh Buddddyyyyyy!!! Way to go! No probs!
No need for 475. 495 looks moar pretty on teh bar. Do it.
Try farmers walks, or even just heavy BB or DB holds to increase grip strength. Should help.
Im already planning my attack on 24 hr fitness to sneak in the chalk when I get back up to the heavy weights next month. Where do you buy it?

495 is pretty hefty jump hah if i get 475 ill go for 495
and i got mine off of here: http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/chalk.html
it will last you a long time, but if your gym is gay you might need to get the sock thing. I just crush this stuff into half lil blocks half powder and put it in a chinese food containerJournal:

Thanks. Definitely thought I had it today...
Yeah regarding the high rep heavy set I did, that's why I stopped at 8. I could've gone for 9 or even 10 but I knew more form wouldn't be up to snuff since my erector spinae were just about ready to quit on the eighth rep. It's very rare that I train to failure and even more rare that I train higher reps to failure. If I don't think I can safely push the last rep out on my own then I don't do it and I have a pretty good sense of when I can't do another rep.Planted like a tree beside the river of truth.
