-If you deadlift, you post.
-If you think about deadlifting, you post.
-If you are planning an awesome PR, you bring a camera.
-If you fail a deadlift, you post.
-If you win, you don't really win. Keep posting.
-We will try to arrange for insane mod reps for winners.
-Monetary prizes can be discussed at a later point in time.
-For your six-plate deadlift, you may only use a belt, gloves and chalk. NO STRAPS.
^LOL!
How on earth did I miss out on this thread? Deadlifts are my #1 favorite lift
And oooh 400Lb. Gorilla is in this too?

I hit 525lbs at 177lbs. Im competing in a powerlifting meet in 20 days, already registered and booked hotels
I still have 75lbs to go to hit 600lbs. I want to be 182lbs or below when I hit 600lbs. If I could do it this year I would be estatic. Anything u guys think I could do differently to gain some strength on my deadlift?

First Deadlift session ever tonight, very excited have an strange pre-disposed fear to start about back injuries but take confidence in that by starting light and focusing on form I'm far less likely to do any damage. Can't wait to track my improvement over the next few months.

posted this in the misc DL competition thread, and just remembered this thread from years back...
well, finally got it:
While not a "traditional" 6 plate deadlift because I used 100lb plates and kilo plates, it was the same weight as a 6 plate deadlift.
two 100lb (metal plates) + six 25kg plates + two 5lb plates (small metal plates on end) + 45lb bar = 585.
Next major long-term goal is a 4 plate bench. Currently at 380.Awesome pics. Great size. Look thick. Solid. Tight. Keep us all posted on your continued progress with any new progress pics or vid clips. Show us what you got man. Wanna see how freakin' huge, solid, thick and tight you can get. Thanks for the motivation.

I hit a Deadlift for 455 a few weeks ago, and then hit 415x4 last week. I'm gonna see what I can do tomorrow!
EDIT: I don't remember how to embed. I'm uploading the files from my computer and it says the file failed to load. Same thing happened when I tried to upload it from instagram.Last edited by TheBeastTyler; 10-26-2015 at 10:16 PM.

Hit 1x5 for 2 plates today. Felt brilliant double overhand and held it at lockout for a good count..
Looking forward to 3 plates in a few months..New Year New Me - Lifting after serious illness
